Arhyyie Women's Sexy Shoulder-Off Strapless Bodycon Slimming Pencil Dress

I bought this dress in two sizes (L and XL) and three different colors (dark red, navy, and green). What I got were five very different dresses in five different sizes. In red, the L fit very nicely; perhaps even a bit large, since I didn't have to unzip the dress to put it on. The XL was swimming on me. But, since I had just purchased a different dress in that same shade of red, I decided to order again in navy L and green L.The green was snug and looked lumpy when I wore it; the sleeves were also on the snug side. The color was pretty, though. Not a forest green, but not the teal color that another reviewer received, either. It was definitely green.The navy blue was tight. It pulled across the midriff, the inverted pleat in the front center skirt gaped open, and the sleeves were far too tight. Not only that, it was made of a totally different type of fabric. It was also a stretchy jersey, but it was much heavier with less give (and therefore less drape).My assessment is that these dresses have little quality control. My guess is that the dark red L could easily have been the same size as a navy XL. The dress itself is not bad, but I would say that you can't expect any consistency in fit (or, obviously, fabric). My only real complaint with construction was that the tension was too high for such a stretchy fabric, and one of the seams on the sleeve binding has already broken. I can repair it, and I want the dress for its '40s look, but it doesn't speak well for the construction.

The dress fit me well enough around the waist and shoulders. Length was good too. The issue with the chest is that the torso was too short. The dress cut in the wrong spots. So the line that should’ve gone under my boobs went across them. The proportions were wrong even though I did buy the correct size from the measurements. And the material is cheap. It doesn’t feel good.

Great dress for the price! The quality was better than I expected. It hangs well after ironing (refer to the recommended settings) and I do suggest you iron the pleats. I wore this to a 1940's film noir party and it was perfect.

Fit everywhere, but in the chest. The chest was no where long enough- the under bust seem came in the middle of my chest. I am a 38DD.

Fit was perfect. Quality was better than i thought. The color was totally wrong. I ordered green but got something that resembled teal. Too late to return it. Hate having to "make do" when the green shown in the picture would have been PERFECT.

The torso length is too short. I am only 5'3", but the underbust seam sits several inches too high. Beautiful style, just horribly proportioned.

I love this fabric. It has a nice flow to it. But the pleat in the front and back is very unflattering. I would love to see this fabric used in a dress in a better design (no pleat in the front or back). Several of us in a group ordered this dress and it was unflattering on everyone.

This dress is clearly nothing like the dress in the advert, its fit around the bust line was awful and doesn’t sit where it’s meant to. I requested a refund and got an email back offering me another dress, a “leather” wallet or belt or partial refund - not acceptable in my view. Buyer beware!

This dress is fantastic! Soft slightly stretchy material, very comfortable and forgiving to wear. Delivery was just under two weeks but totally worth the wait. I’m a size 14 and I bought a large would Highly recommend.

This dress arrived promptly, colour beautiful, fabric great...and then I tried it on. Width-wise it fitted perfectly everywhere. But the photo shows the bust "v" coming down to the breast-bone and the dress I got it was up by the collar bones, so the bust shaping was all about 4" too high! I'm an "off the peg" kinda girl - things usually just fit me. I am average height, slim build but I think this dress is made for someone less than 5' tall, else how would the bust be in the right place? It's going back...

Honestly the worst fitting dress I’ve bought and I’ve bought loads. The material is awful and the shaping is all out. Not at all anything like the picture. I wouldn’t waste your money. Ended up buying a much better quality dress for similar price elsewhere. Very disappointing. It was baggy, saggy and had no shape. Sizing was way out and disportionste to any body type. Just awful really. Look nothing like the picture. I’ve charity shopped it as not worth returning to china.

Awful dress. Doesn’t match the picture or the description. It’s supposed to be fitted and flattering around the waist and chest but it’s completely odd shape around the chest and baggy. The fabric is awful and should not ever be used for a dress of this style. It’s thick stretchy fabric that is usually used for skinny fit trousers or leggings. It’s far too thick and stiff to create the flattering draping effect that is shown in the picture. Returned the dress.

Great dress, fits perfectly though bit worried about ordering by vague "medium" {usually size 12}. Perfect for 1940's event, it fits the bill and hangs beautifully but possible downside is that it may prove too warm, quite thick material and event in August.

This is a beautiful dress worth the 4 week wait. I am a UK size 18-20 with a GG cup breast and the 2XL size fitted me perfectly. It flatters everywhere and good quality. I purchased the green one it's gorgeous. I'm buying more now! Perfect for the office or casual night out.

This dress was awful, the fit was not good at all. The waist came under the bust there was not enough length in the bodice and I ordered two sizes bigger to allow for the sizing in case it was smaller.Now it’s no use to me and will probably cost half the price to post back and from experience take weeks to get a refund. Sorry but I will not purchase from you again as it’s a waste of money for me. But you’re in profit for selling items “Not fit for use”.I look forward to your response.

I loved this dress, I am of a larger persuasion and find it hard to find dresses that are flattering, I was extremely happy to find that this dress was a comfortable fabric, it was stretchy enough that it fit snug but still allowed you to breath etc, really flattering length and most importantly the shape of the cut meant it actually made my body shape look curvy as opposed to bumpy. Would highly recommend and will be looking for more dresses via this seller in the future :-)

Had to iron it twice before I could wear it, and it was a little baggy around the waist, but otherwise it fit fine and was comfortable. Heavy fabric, so it hung well, but the pleats tended to fall out over the course of the night.

Well made & perfect for40's Ww2 look. Lovely colour & good design(authentic pleating on bust area) The only down side is it arrived terribly creased. Even hanging garment over a couple of days creases didn't fall. A shame as material is thick enough. Overall though after pressing very pleased with fit & look.

Looks ridiculous on anyone with a hint of a chest as the top half is smaller than it seems, so will not finish on the waist as it does in the image. The fit otherwise was good, but had to return.Fabric is also quite stiff, so will not flow like a normal swing dress

I ordered an 8 as it was the smallest size and found there was a little room although still looks good. Fabric lovely, has a great stretch to it. Came quicker than expected and delivery date. A bit longer on me than the model, I'm 5'4'' and it's just below knee length

A great dress. It feels a bit big because of the 'stretch' fabric. Little downside, do not expect your bosom to fit where it should as per the picture, not unless you wear one of those 1950's bras.

The color is a bit more teal than the dark green of the picture, but I don't mind about that, I actually like the color.I bought the size large in order for the dress to fit well on my chest, although I knew it would be a bit large in the waist. Now that I tried it I think the M would actually be large enough and I need to make some adjustments for the dress to look more curvy.
