Fantastic for parties!
I got this for an upcoming party thinking it was basically a cooler. It is much better, it is like a portable fridge/freezer! I let it sit horizontally for 24 hours before turning it on (as per the instructions) and put in a frozen drink to test it (one of premade cocktails.) We take these to the beach all the time and they get soft pretty fast in just a bag. I didn't realize you could set this thing down to -8F ! My freezer in my kitchen is -6. So I set it to -6 and put the drink in. It took about a half hour to get from room temp (my kitchen was 74) to -6, but it held it there for as long as I had it plugged in. I didn't measure the temp, but the drink was still hard as a rock after 3 hours. No condensation, no frost, like it was just out of my "real" freezer. The motor and stuff take up some of the room inside, but I could easily fit 45 of those small Hagen-daaz cups in there.(I had 8 of those and could measure!) I plan on putting some of those ice creams, some popsicles, some ice cream sandwiches and Italian ice cups in there for an upcoming party! How awesome to have frozen items available for an outdoor picnic! It also comes with a car plug which would be great for if you need to keep something cold (or frozen) in the car for a while. I don't know how much of your battery it uses if your car is off, but it supposedly has a built-in shutoff of it is drawing battery power too long (I only used the regular plug since I plan on using it for home use. The patch is a little hard to open since it is kind of concealed, I would have liked it bigger and more obvious for guests to open, but they will figure it out. I am much more pleased with it than I expected. Way better than those little fridges that just go down like 15 degrees below room temp.It is a little heavy compared to an empty plastic cooler, but I could carry it around pretty easily (and I'm not strong!) it makes some noise from a fan, but quieter than say a microwave.Overall, I do really love it so far. I have a few parties a year and worry about keeping things cold in ice, and thought I could never have ice cream. Now I can! I set up the food in a shaded area near my garage, so it won't have to run in hot sun, so I can't say how that would fare. It is pretty insulated, so it should be fine, but will have to work harder. If it fails or doesn't keep things frozen (my party is next week) I will update my review.

Two Dead on Arrival Units - SHAREWIN 12 Volt Refrigerator 20QT Portable Freezer Fridge
Update Aug 1, 2024 - First unit would not cool and seller asked me to do diagnostics to prove it was dead. It was. Replacement sent and asked me to do diagnostics. Second Dead unit. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!Update - June 17, 2024: So, I plugged the fridge into a 110 outlet in my house to pre-cool it to load with food tomorrow morning. It is DOPE (Dead On Plugging Electrical). Similar to DOA, but since it was a last-minute disappointment, even more so.I get an E1 Error code which the booklet says is low power. This while using the provided 110 electrical adapter that comes with the unit. One of the other notes says that the DC power protection sensitivity may be too high. So, I changed it thru the three H1, H2 and H3 levels. Same error code and the compressor never kicks in. To say the least I am more than disappointed with the product. I would not recommend it to anyone. This is a reasonably compact refrigerator that I will be taking on our road trip to Florida. It's somewhat bulky for your back seat so you will need some space to take it in a car. I have a Honda pickup that has a 12-volt and 110/120-volt outlet in the bed, so the refrigerator is a perfect option for my pickup.I'll will update my review after the trip to see if I need to change my star rating. I'm being on the conservative side at this time.

Works but not well insulated
This keeps everything cold so long as it's plugged in and running. It looses it's cold pretty quickly. So for us stopping for an hour in the summer prevents it from being really useful at keeping our food cool while traveling. It's not too noisy or heavy but it is awkward yo carry because of its shape. It is quite small inside so it's no hood as a substitute for a small ice chest for space. Mostly we've used it keeping drinks cold while traveling and pre-chilling them helps the process a lot.It is well built and may be ideal in a cooler climate than CA in summer.

Perfect for trips!
We live in Florida and always use a cooler to bring food/drinks to the beach. However our family lives out of state and we do reunions and take food to that so having a fridge and not having to stop for ice etc. would be so much nicer! Ordered that for those intentions and we have used it several times so far and LOVE it! My husband generally plugs it up inside the house the night before our trip so it can go ahead and get cold then we load up and put it in the car and it stays cold. Holds 2 12 packs of can drinks and a few other small items. Kept our drinks ice cold and if you don't watch the temp. you'll freeze them! But hey nothing wrong with that if you really enjoy an icey cold beverage. I will say it doesn't take up any less room in the car especially since you need room for ventilation however it's much easier to travel with and less of a mess to use! Love it and would definitely recommend.
