Excellent value, very lightweight and actually seems to be better quality than my previous, much more expensive case. I travel a lot with my violin for teaching and performing and this does the job well. The only comment I would make, which is positive for me but may be a negative for others, is that inside it is a snug fit for my violin which, although it is a full size, is a slightly smaller violin than most - therefore other violins may find this tight fitting.

Great value violin case
My last violin case lasted me 35 years so I have high expectations for this one. So far so good. It's light and well balanced so easy to carry around, get in and out of cars etc. The inside compartments are large enough to hold chin rest, strings, rosin pencil, duster etc and the outside pocket is perfect for orchestral music.Be careful to close zips before lifting up as there is no catch to secure the case.In a nutshell, very pleased indeed.

case arrived in a cardboard box, without any plastic bag cover around it, and as a consequence looked quite dirty from the cardboard dust. it did clean up okay.The inside of the case is a tight squeeze for a full size violin. it has taken a few weeks for the stiffness of the molding to wear down sufficiently that it is no longer a fight to get the violin in and out of the case.Otherwise, it is light to carry and does what it is set out to do.

The advertised hygrometer was not present but since I've never considered them to be of much use anyway this didn't bother me. However, since the advert was misleading I've reduced my rating to four stars.The case itself, as well as zips, has a velcro fastener rather than a proper catch, but apart from that was perfectly satisfactory.I was happy with this purchase and bought another for my spare violin.
