My nephew loved it!
My 9 year old nephew is a genius, and loved this gadget! He loves everything science, and facts. It's cute, and small it has a wristlet that you can use when you're out and about exploring.

Pocket microscope
Good little magnifier for just about anything, but I've been using it to observe leaf structure and trichromes. Not the best option for detailed observing but nice to keep in my pocket for quick looks when i enter my grow. Let's me know when things are ready to harvest or if a nutrient or mineral deficiency is starting to form in my leaf structure. Very handy and i use it just about every day.

Difficult to use except with the slides.
I love the concept of this product. My 5 year old is super curious about nature and I was hoping to se him out and about exploring with this. It works great with the selection of provided slides that come with the set. However, in the field, my child (and me for that matter) has a difficult time bringing images into focus and they are quite blurry. Because of this, it doesn’t hold his attention for very long, and he often gives up in frustration. For context, I am a medical professional with advanced degrees in science, and I routinely use light microscopy for work. I mention this to point out that I do not think user error is a likely explanation for our somewhat disappointing experiences with this product.

Not My First Choice, Does the Job
Received the Pocket Microscope and was significantly smaller than expected. It's the size of a lighter, comes with a light to assist with viewing the specimen your looking at under the microscope powered by 1 AAA battery, not included. The microscope is 70x magnification, with no ability to adjust which makes it hard at time to see or zoom in and out, if you wanted to do this. It does have a focus adjustment to better focus on the item you are looking at through the microscope. My only reservations on the product are it's size which means, you may want to give it to someone in the 7 or 8 age range or older. Also, depending on what you are trying to look at, the light is next to the lens which may impact what you are looking at where it's too dark without the light and too bright with the light.

Tiny Hand Held Magnifier
I tried to use this product (I’m a grandfather) and could not use it to really explore anything. It is very small and is impossible to focus and use. I plan on returning it for a refund.
