tiny Maglite
ita a good little light and doesnt eat through batteries like similar size led torches however it isnt as bright as those torches. i had one when i was younger and it never broke so you can trust this to last a long time.it works nice indoors or small spaces. i used it in dark woods just to see what it could do and it wasnt much use lol but if you were walking in the woods at night im sure you would be looking at a bigger torch

Maglite build quality but…
When it comes to torches I always turn to maglite, they’ve been my go-to brand for three decades now. I use them for the car, for home use and I’ve always found them to be high quality and almost indestructible.I’ve got a few pocket sized maglite mini torches but I needed a small light for some scale model photography and I thought this micro sized solitaire model would do the trick. The solitaire arrives in a miniature plastic case containing the torch and a tiny strap, the torch is made of metal so first impressions are good. It operates with a twist to turn it on and focus, just like the bigger maglites. The torch is very small, and less than half the size of a maglite mini (see photos for comparison)However this torch is simply not bright. Compared to the maglite mini it’s as if the solitaire is running on a flat battery, even when focussed it’s just giving out a weak glow, and the beam casts only a few inches. It doesn’t reach the ground when holding the torch at waist height.I’m not sure what purpose this torch serves other than as a toy. It’s more of a desktop curio than a useable torch. If you need a small light to fit into a tiny space then it might be useful, but otherwise… buy the maglite mini instead.

SEEING THE LIGHT.
There are more powerful keyring lights, some smaller and some with multiple functions. I have used several. This one take easlily purchased, long lasting aaa batteries and has a decent loop attachment ( I take the tough cord off and simply use the ring directly through the torch base and onto my keyring.). Try buying the right button cells at your hotel or corner shop. An AAA battery? no problem. I had one on my car key spat for a dozen years, (three Duracell battery changes). The black torch got rubbed down to its aluminium case against my other keys. Dropped in mud, on pavements, continued to work fine until I lost it- and have purchased the same again. Enough light to look for a dropped purse/wallet in the cinema, read a book durring a power cut or find your way home on unfamiliar forest paths. There are none as small, hardy, cheap, with such universally obtainable batteries and as reliable. The only downside is the case colour will dissapear after several years of company with several keys, though it doesn't affect the function. The fancy led alternatives I have used don't take kindly to sharp knocks. Even with a broken seal ( easily replaced) the SOLITARE is washed out , dried, seal replaced and its up and running. Led electronics are fine 'til they get wet or battery corrosion strikes... the SOLIARE's simplicity avoids all that. Also led's torches I have used have all tended to switch on when stuffed in pocket with a bunch of keys. The MAGLITE SOLITARE needs to be twisted to switch on and avoids accidental wasteage. Really a good basic design, hard to beat- at any price.IN A NUTSHELL:-Portable Keyring Power That Continues To Shine When Others Fail.

Disappointed it's old fashioned now maybe outdated.
I paid extra for good named product but I was disappointed cos I did buy one from amazon ten years or so ago. The end came unscrewed and torch lost i have the cap still. It looks like this is a possibility with the new ones. Plus light is not as good as i expected bulb is old fashioned not new led or whatever they are. I am thinking of returning it and buying a cheaper one. So won't be big upset if I lose it.

Rubbish
Not worth the money, don't get me wrong it works, fits in my pocket well, but not bright at all, spend a little more for a better torch !!
