Seeing many reviews about buying larger than your pants size, I took that advice. I usually wear 32-36 depending on brand and current weight, so I debated between getting 36 or 38, decided on the 38. But even on the tightest setting it's not as snug as I wish I were, I might be forced to use a belt just for peace of mind. Plenty of room to let it out if I gain weight tho. The pockets are a bit to small for my hands, I couldn't get my wallet back out of a pocket while holding it, I had to pinch it with the tips of my fingers to get it out. Seems sturdy, I'm pretty happy overall, but the fabric isn't exactly what I expected. I was expecting a texture like my khaki shorts or maybe like a canvas bag. The actual material is slightly rougher and stiffer. Still happy, fell just barely short of expectations.

Four and a half stars because nothing is perfect. The fit is EXACTLY as stated. I bought two inches larger thinking it would be sized small. It was not. I am returning for a smaller size. The fabric is durable and tough, and I think I would prefer the lighter fabric that looks like oil cloth, still, for what I want this with three pockets will be great. I may install a fourth pocket.

Ordered this on Aug.30, received on Sept.2! It's beautiful! I couldn't buy the 5 yards of material for this price! I was a little disappointed that it wasn't the black watch dark green plaid, but that was my error in reading the description. The disappointment quickly disappeared when looking this over, and when my husband put it on, WOW!!! I wish all men wore kilts all the time, I think they look soooooo sexy! And my husband and I have been married 38 years, and looking at him in the kilt,-mmm,mmmmm, GOOD! TMI, I know. The quality is excellent, the length is perfect. My husband just has to get used to wearing this around his belly button, he keeps pulling it down to his pants height. Ordered a sporran for it, can't wait until we have all the pieces together. Read the how to make it fit first and it was spot on correct. I use this in my BD events and it is able to take some punishment. I feel cool and it looks good. My first and a good pick.

I'm the kind of Scot that wears his kilts every Day he can. Riding my horse, working around the house and just going in town. This kilt is awesome! Well constructed and made to last. Ran a bit small but had enough adjustment to fit well. The only thing I wish it where a bit more heavier material.

Have only tried them on to check for fit.I got another style pair of the same brand for regular use and they work great. I will use these for finer days.

Measured accurately according to instructionsI measured a 46 went up a size need to go down a size. Got a printed label via email however will not let download to printer.
