Preparation on the hot stone directly on the table is a culinary experience of a very special kind. The hot stone contains a cork backing and is made from Finnish soapstone. Use: set the oven temperature to 300°. When the oven is hot, place the stone on the baking rack for 30 to 40 minutes. (If your oven cannot be heated to 300 °, extend the heating time for the stone accordingly.) The cork base does not belong in the oven. Add a drop of oil or some baking fat to the hot stone. Now you can season and cook the dish to your own taste.
