Size was an issue.
It was difficult to get size correct. Took a couple of tries.Instead of size 10 medium, had to get 10 wide. Also, these are really dress appearance, as they are highly polished for a boat shoe. Don't think these shoes are intended for boating.I do like the shoe. Leather for the price is a good surprise.Overall, appearance, quality and fit are good. But ,it's not a boat shoe, just a dressy, nice shoe that looks ,but not functional, as a boat shoe.

Excellent fit, good looks, quality materials, and correct sizing -- well worth the price!
I can't believe how quickly these shoes "broke in" -- they were a little stiff when I first put them on, but with a total of less than twelve hours' worth of wear (yesterday and today) already they're supple enough to just slip into and out of. The sizing was perfect, and they're every bit as comfortable as deck shoes should be. They look to be well-made, as well, with a durable sole that should give me four or five years of wear before time and use catch up to them. In my case, as my feet have almost no arch, I could use a bit more arch support, but a pair of inserts (which I have to use with almost every pair of shoes I buy) will solve that problem. The issue is definitely not with these deck shoes! I also like the dark color of the soles and the whole "low key" look they have. As a rule, I don't like reviews that don't offer at least some criticism, however minor, of a product, as it makes me wonder if the reviewer has actually used the product or if they're just gushing because they can't think of anything better to do. In the case of these Dockers, though, I really can't find anything negative to say about them. So take that for what it's worth, but I really do recommend these shoes!

Perfect boat shoe for business casual or beach-wear!
This is my third pair of the Vargas from Dockers in the past 10 years (I generally get 2-4 years out of them). I like them better than Sperry because they are real leather, wear very well, stitching is excellent, they have good soles (although they do slip on wet surfaces), and they fit like they should. The color is great and goes with everything from jeans and khakis to shorts. The leather foot-bed disintegrated in my last pair after about 2 years of wear, but I think it is because I wore them a LOT, and do not wear them with socks... if you wear them business-casual with socks they last for many years. I had a new leather foot-bed cut for them and glued them into place, and they will still work well as a back-up and knock-about pair. I still have the pair I bought 10 years ago, and they are great for cutting grass or wearing when I don't care what happens to them (they've been in salt water, sand, mud, rain, and logged many, many miles)... they're like your favorite sweatshirt... after they are broken in, you don't want to take them off!

A good enough shoe
Good shoe, no complaints. I rated a 3 because a few years back I purchased a boat shoe style I really liked but couldn’t recall brand. This version had a similar look but not quite what I was looking for. Still, a good shoe and I’m making good use of it.

Size down but very long last of taken care of
I bought a pair from a different vendor like 4-5 years ago. I have loved them and decided I needed a newer pair in a different color. I got a size 8.5 this time as the other ones were a little big. I expect that with these types of leather shoes. So I would advise sizing down a half size.
