Worked just fine as replacement for Harbor Freight's CM 6" Jointer
As the images show, these knives didn't match the original Central Machinery 6" Jointer (model 30289), but they work just fine. The first photo shows that the Powertec knives (left) are not as wide as the original. The second photo shows the difference in length: the original knife (bottom) is slightly shorter and has a bevel on the outboard edge. I was concerned that the added length might interfere with the cutterhead rotation, but that turned out not to be the case. After using a jig for setting jointer knives, and verifying that all 3 knives were making the same depth of cut, I ran several test pieces through and it worked just fine. In fact, I think they worked more smoothly than the originals, although the old ones were rather nicked and worn, I admit. So these worked fine for me.

Not what they should be
I have had these installed in my Craftsman jointer for a few years. I only use it every now and then, maybe a few hundred feet have run through it now. I decided to get the original set of knives sharpened up and replace these. Although the knives didn't look too bad, they were worn, and I was getting some tear out, so I wanted to swap them. During changing them out, and using a soft COPPER hammer to tap on and free the clamps, I missed and struck the end of the knife. What? The soft copper hammer put a dent in the supposedly high speed steel knife! How can that be? High Speed Steel is supposed to be very hard and tough. After getting them out, I compared them to the original Sears knives... you could actually take the Sears knife and engrave the Powertec ones with them like they were unhardened steel, they were so soft! No wonder there were no chip outs on the edges, they weren't hard enough to chip. I don't know if this was a fluke batch or what. Won't be getting any more of these.

Sharp out of the box, dull quickly, hard to sharpen
They were very sharp out of the box and fit my Ridgid jointer as well as the originals. They would be 5 star blades, but they seemed to dull quickly on clean domestic hard woods so I knocked a star for that. But it was when I started to sharpen them, that I really started to like them less. They were not flat and would take hours to lap. Getting a nice even bevel using a quality jointer blade sharpening jig took a long time staring with 80 grit paper. I would definitly consider these blades a once and done usage unless you have more mechanical means of sharpening.

These fit my old Craftsman jointer model 113.232200 perfectly. Took about 15min to replace and get adjusted. Wish I would have done it sooner.fyi-My owners manual called for craftsman replacement blades 9-2293 (3 blades @ - 6 1/8th inch long. 1/8th thick. 5/8th wide)

Sharp knives
Really sharp and fits my old Craftsman really well even though the original knives were slightly less tall from edge to base. I put them in and got them aligned (the tricky part) and they cut very smooth. This was a lot easier to me than trying to sharpen the old ones as a tried for two hours and could not keep the edge evenly straight which is essential for a planer knive. This is a great solution at a great price.

find a different brand
I have replaced my blades twice before purchasing these. I can not get them to level out... This should have been an easy swap out like the other ones... I am thinking these blades are not square... and if you are purchasing them you are going to expect them to be.... otherwise why would you need a the machine.

They arrived on time and were well packaged. They are the correct size and fit my jointer just fine. I have noticed some very faint lines in the final cut though. They sand out easily but my old knives never did this and they weren't even sharp. If you don't mind the very faint lines then these are a good price.

The hardness is excellent
These knives are working excellent. hard enough to stay sharp, yet not too brittle and to chip easily.
