look real at a distance
Use them to prank or scare pest. They do look real at a distance, but close up it's fairly apparent of their fakes. Neither functions worked well as my neighbor seemed not to notice them and the mice in my garage had just ignored them. Still, worth to keep around as decorations.

Very wiggly realistic snakes for garden or Halloween
These work great and are pretty realistic until you grab them because they are not scaly like really snakes. They are rubbery, which is fine. There are 3 sizes. All pretty much the same color. Much happier with these than some others. I think you would really have to stretch them before you could pull them apart at the thinner end. They are kind of "precoiled" so you can wrap them around branches etc. If you want them to layer flatter or more straight,, you might have to lay them out in the sun under a piece of cardboard with a weight on top. As far as durability, I do not know how long they will stand u under heat or out in the sun for long periods of time. However, they are a good enough value for the money that if they last through a really hot summer, I will be happy. If you have dogs or other pets that like to chew things, do NOT leave these around where they can get them and chew them to pieces and swallow them. They are not made of digestible material and could cause g.i. problems for your pet.

Very Realissssssstic!
These snakes look so real … I got anxious just opening the box!I’ve positioned them for a Halloween display — and they look great.I haven’t tried using them to deter birds, so I’m not sure how effective they would be, but they look very real.

Makes People Shout, “Oh, for Goodness Snake!”
I place realistic rubber snakes around my homestead to keep birds and rodents out of vehicles and gardens. Because these rubber snakes are nice and dark, they look very similar to the native Black Rat snakes we have in the area. The only thing that doesn’t look real is the tongues, which I will be cutting off with some scissors.Completely unfurled, the two larger snakes are 49-inches long, and the four smaller snakes are 29-inches long. These snakes look fairly realistic both from a distance as well as up close. However, since the bends at the snakes’ heads are permanent, you can’t completely stretch-out the snakes because their heads will always remain curved to one side.If you choose to use rubber snakes to keep critters out of your garden, make sure that you move the snakes around to new locations every few days, or else they will figure out that they’re not real. Since it is difficult to find realistic rubber snakes these days, if you’re looking for realism in a rubber serpent, then I recommend these.

Hoping for a good bird deterrent
These certainly look realistic enough. I hope they are realistic enough to keep birds from pooping on my patio table. But I hope they don't startle my guests. As pictured in the description, the snakes are black on top, and either white on bottom (short snakes) or yellow on bottom (long snakes). The lengths are just over 48" for the long ones and just over 26" for the short ones. I did not try to stretch them to pull them perfectly straight, so they might be just a little longer than my measurements. The snakes are preformed to coil. They coil easily, but you cannot set them out in a zig-zag "slither" pattern.
