Great magnetic tiles, good quality ( well build) , easy to use and super fun for kids.

I ordered this 34 piece set of magnetic tiles. The colour sheme is blues and pinks, and I'd suggest it's supposed to echo the movie Frozen in terms of colour palette.The set contains2 x ice blue 'castle rampart' style rectangles2 ice blue right ankle triangles2 puce right angle triangles2 ice blue equilateral triangles2 puce equilateral triangles2 pale pink equilateral triangles2 ice blue 'double length' triangles8 ice blue see-through squares2 pale pink see-through squares2 puce see through squares4 solid mid blue and moulded tiles each with a different style of door/window4 navy blue tiles with one large hole1 ice blue tile with 1 large hole in the middle1 ice blue tile with a 4 hole window designideas bookletSo. We had a bit of disappointment with this because there are not enough tiles included to make the builds used to illustrate the set. You would need more than one set to make most of them.There are a number of smaller builds illustrated that you CAN make with the set, but it is frustrating for kids who don't necessarily understand this.Also I think the castle shown is a fone-sided acade rather than a 3d shape ( goodness knows how many tiles you'd need to buildit in 3D!) which does affect its stability.That said. As long as you understand the limitations this is a fun set, good for building even for those without great manual dexterity. The magnetic pull between the tiles is satisfying to work with and progress is seen quickly. Quality and durability of the shapes is great. I like the colourscheme, which is predominantly blue with only a few pink and purple accents. I'd say the set was unisex.Would be great to build a collection of this to enable bigger builds down the line.Currently priced at £18.99, it is already good value but with a 40% coupon right now it is an absolute steal, at that price get two sets from the outsets.

These magnetic tile toys are great. Really easy for kids (and adults) to grasp the concept of how it goes together and gives an opening to start discussing things like magnetism and structural engineering. Seems a bit deep for a toy but it's great for building up these sort of interests.
