Big Dog... Little Dog (A Bedtime Story)

I loved this book as a little girl and now my 2.5 year old daughter loves it too. She asks me to read it to her very often. The text is simple to understand and the story is delightful. It’s about two dogs who are so different and yet best friends. They are presented with a problem and how they solve it with a bird’s help is what this book is about. “Why make big problems out of little problems” - a valuable lesson for little kids and adults too. The illustrations are super cute as with all of P. D. Eastman’s books.

I have a big dog and little dog. I've heard so many people reference this book while we're out on walks.

A favorite of our (adult) children that we still quote today… “why make big problems out of little problems.” We love to give this book alongside another gift for baby.

This story was well loved in my house so much so our first copy fell apart. I bought this story for my daughter 42 years ago and she loved it. Then I read it to my granddaughter who is now 20 yrs old and that's when it started falling apart. I now have a four year old grandson so I decided to purchase a new copy so he can enjoy it like his mommy and sister did. I also bought him Fred and Ted go Camping because he loves to camp.

Perfect bedtime story. I read to my children and got a fresh copy for my grandkids. They especially love it when I sub their names for *Fred and Ted*.

Got this book for my 3 year old grandaughter. Used to read a now lost copy to her dad when he was that age. Great story, simple, memorable. I guess my only comment is about how it was damaged slightly in shipping. Really should put a cardboard protector around the tnis thin paperback book to prevent bent/creased damage.

My two year old loves this book. It’s simple and fun for him.

I remember reading this book as a child. Happy to be able to share it with my son.

I was wondering what to buy for a 3 year olds birthday, that is a 3 year old with more toys than a Toys r Us store, and I decided on some nice storybooks ( you can never be too young for books in my opinion ), and for some reason, I don't know why, I suddenly remembered a book I loved as a child. It was called Big Dog Little Dog. I wondered if you could still get it...lo and behold, I could buy a brand new copy on Amazon for as little as a penny! Well, I just had to get it! In fact I was tempted to buy it for myself ( I'm 39 years old, by the way ). Well, it arrived and its just as brilliant as I remembered! Excellent condition, a really lovely book! I hope the kid I'm buying it for loves it just as much as I did!
