AUXCOO 32GB USB C Flash Drive, USB 3.0 Type-C Thumb Drive for New MacBook Smartphones Tablets (Keychain Included)

I bought this drive to use with my 2014 MacBook Pro but bought the dual USB-C & 3.0 to be future -proof because I was planning on upgrading to the new 2018 MacBook Pro. The USB 3.0 worked fine with my old MacBook Pro, but.... when I got my new MacBook Pro with USB-C, the drive does not work. So sadly I can only use the USB 3.0 side with my old MacBook Pro and cannot use this flashdrive with my new MacBook Pro except with a USB 3 to USB C adapter. This defeats the purpose of the dual drive. Unfortunately I am out of the window of return since I purchased it a couple of months ago. Perhaps the USB-C on this device is only for Android phones and not for Macs with USB-C?? If so, this should be clearly stated. More likely this is a defective device.UPDATE!: After reading more reviews and also seeing how genuinely customer-focused AUXCOO is, I decided to play around with this more. Lo and behold, I found that the drive worked on other MacPros and USB-C devices, so it is not a formatting issue. I then noticed that when the drive was inserted into my MacPro 2018 there was a hairline space between the drive hub and the computer even after a positive click. I pushed harder - quite hard - and the drive slipped in the extra mm and works perfectly. So it is just a matter of a very very tight fit and a misleading click before the drive is full inserted. The drive works perfectly now, though it always requires that extra-firm forceful insertion to get the final click and be flush with the computer body.

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend who uses her phone for a lot of video and photos for her work. She was never happy with the amount of memory her phone had. With this 32GB flash drive she can save movies and photos to her drive and save them to her laptop when she wants to.As it was a gift I was very pleased when it arrived to see that the packaging was good quality and the drive was presented nicely in that hard smooth foam used in packaging phones when you get a new one. The flash drive has normal USB at one end and type C micro USB at the other, so it can used with a phone and a laptop. really nice item, and very happy with my choice.

So far, a great product. Works with the new Mac ports and the traditional USB ports!

Let me start off by saying I am a student (college); my laptop only has USB C ports and my PC only has USB 3.0 ports. The library computers have both. So this is perfect for me. When it showed up it came with a neat little adapter as a gift. The silver outside area feels like it's maybe made of aluminum, so the flash drive itself feels really sturdy. The middle part is plastic but it feels like the same material that Gorilla flash drives are made of (also sturdy). I don't know if I would want to attach it to my keys though, it's got a cap for the USB C part that stays on nicely, but the keychain part feels like it will fall apart after not too long if it's in my pocket all day. Still, it stays in my backpack anyway, so 4.5/5 stars

Update - Sorry, my previous review was incorrect. This works fine with my phone, even with the case still on. Updating rating to 5 stars. Sorry for any confusion. I purchased two USB C flash adapters and entered the review for the wrong item. Highly recommended.

I bought this as a gift for my mom because she has problems running out of phone memory, sometimes. Sometimes she has problems with technology but with this she took it and ran. It's really intuitive and she can copy from her phone to the USB and then delete the photo if she so chooses. 10/10, will buy again for myself.

Plugged it in to my G9, instantly recognized and available. Moved 4g of videos over to it in less than a minute. Plug into the PC, and there they are. Only complaint is plastic cap over the phone connector. Wish it didn't have any plastic parts.

I really like this product but that clear cap doesn't stay on. It fell off the first day at school. Usb works fast and as it should but now it's less protected because the cap is already gone. Can you get more caps?
