Works well enough
Ok, I was skeptical about using this in general but in our home we have no "real" stove vent. It just cycles it back into the house. With that being said, we also cook a lot and needed something to help out. This essentially does the same, circles it back through the house, but what I like is you can direct it where you want it to go for the most part. It's pretty simple to you and wasn't too loud. It would be even better for an apartment really. I don't use it often, but when I do it does help in keeping some of the smoke ventilated. I also keep my windows open when I use it, it just works better.

Small and somewhat mighty
I have been using a small fan turned backwards in a specific space near the window of my kitchen-that space is on a window ledge and a foot or two away from the front left burner on my stove. I live in an apartment that does not allow outdoor barbecue grills, but I have a stovetop smoker that does a great job. It does not emit much smoke, but the smoke level is high enough to be noticed outside my door.So the design and purpose of this is something I've long hoped for. Unfortunately, it is not perfect. It has a tripod base which limits positioning options, and although it has some power, it is not a wind tunnel. It is quite a bit smaller than it appears in the listing, although the listing does state its dimensions. The USB-C to USB-A interface is odd for a device that doesn't have a battery. I guess this is a cost saving measure, but the advances in battery technology, their declining cost, the sie of the device and the word "portable" in the name would make one think that it has a rechargeable battery. It's a good device-I just wish it had a little more horsepower.
