Whoa! The best youth Catholic Bible!
I wish I would have had this Bible growing up seriously..This Bible is an amazing it has beautiful full color pictures and the stick figure drawings through out the whole Bible. The drawings deprive the stories it’s so creative. Its pages are high quality and thick. It’s paper back but still light weight and easy to carry.I love how easy it is to understand and navigate. It’s s perfect for tweens and teens. I highly recommend it as a starter bible and along with the Youcat.

I love how it ties into and references other YouCat books
I was anxious to get my hands on this to try it in class (as I'll teach Confirmation this year). I love how it ties into and references other YouCat books. The pages are heavy (not like onion paper in most bibles) so it should hold up well for teenager use... the format is great (seems very friendly) BUT it's not a complete bible (not all the Psalms, chapters of certain authors are there, etc). I haven't gone back through to see if that will hinder our lessons, but I think I will still choose to use this bible for class / as a gift for Confirmation students (as I assume they have other "complete" bibles at home).

The Youcat Bible is not just for youth!
I teach young people at a Catholic Church after school, but I was so excited to find this Bible. I’ve given it not just to them, but to adults who are beginning their faith journey and to some old time Catholics who haven’t read their Bible. This makes the Bible really approachable and interesting. It isn’t a complete Bible, but it makes you want to read it. Pope Francis says about this Bible, “you are holding something divine in your hands: a book that is like fire! A book through which God speaks.”

Love
Great intro to a “Bible study” type bible. I use this for religious education with my 6th grader, and we’ve already had some great dialogue about the passage and what they mean. Pretty heavy for a 12 year old, might recommend for a bit older. But a great resource for raising a Catholic child in this current world!

The BEST abridged version of the BIBLE!
I love the YOUCAT, and when I heard that there was a YOUCAT Bible I was so excited because I have learned so much about the Catholic faith through the YOUCAT. I started reading the YOUCAT Bible as soon as I got it and loved it so much that I can't stop reading it since the YOUCAT Bible carefully abridges the biblical text to help young people to follow the "story" of the Bible.I look forward to using this Bible in the classroom for High School because it will engage them into reading the Word of God and discover the God's plan for their lives in the story of salvation history. The drawings, footnotes, saints, tips and testimonies are relevant to the youth of today that will captivate their attention and change their lives through Jesus Christ who is the Word made flesh.Thank you Pope Francis for this AMAZING gift to the young Church in the world!

Great youth Bible - wish it included all the books and chapters of the Bible
Anything produced under YOUCAT is wonderful. I would give it five stars if it included all the books of the Bible. I have been purchasing this for inmates in the federal and state prisons where I serve as chaplain. They love all the Youcat materials. Since it does not include all the books of the Bible, I give them this Bible and a complete youth study Bible. Great resources - I only wish it was more complete.

Not worth your money!
I am so disappointed in this Bible. Honestly, I'm also very frustrated that I can't find a decent youth study bible. I do like all the maps and cool interesting facts. Is it so hard to put ALL the chapters in this bible?! I'm a convert. I converted to Catholicism from an Evangelical background. Bible study was and is very important to me, and at this point I'm going to have to use a protestant bible. This is just such a let down for me. I have a ton of bibles here at my house meant for children, and not one of them is an actual bible. They're all bible stories, or summaries of a chapter. They all come highly recommended, though I can't see why. I plan to also send the publisher this same review, plus a few more words. One example I can give you is that the scripture of the plagues isn't in the book of Exodus! It skips from Exodus chapter 3 to 14. (or there abouts.) Many of the books are like this. Many many important chapters are missing! We can't even get our school work done with her bible because it's simply NOT THERE! I don't see any reason why you would waste your money on this bible. Seriously. Don't.
