Perfect - size is perfect and quality is good
Having stupidly installed a square toilet 6 years ago without thinking how I might replace the toilet seat, should the suite become obselete, I was VERY happy to find this on Amazon. I'm useless at DIY (I measured the seat with a dress maker's tape measure ha ha) but it fits perfectly. The measurements are perfect. It's a reasonable price and good quality. Worth the slightly higher price tag for a loo seat given it's an odd shape and it arrived quickly too.

A bog seat!
Not much to be written about a toilet pan seat and lid!Excellent value at £20, delivered. Easy to fit using the top fixings supplied. Size, spot on. Check original before ordering though.Soft close is good but whether the friction will eventually lessen, time and the number of lift and close will reveal.Slightly larger hole pitch then the existing but there's plenty of adjustment to cater for this. Could be a more secure fix but fine if you don't slide around and fidgitwhen on the throne!

Fairly easy to fit
Fairly easy to fit. Does soft close and is good quality and was much cheaper than the toilet manufacturer's seat.

Tighten the screws again and again and again.
Seriously, toilet seat manufacturers, how hard can it be to create a toilet seat that is actually easy to fit and doesn't slide about on the pan once it's on? This one at least is top fixing so you don't have to lie on your back under the loo scrabbling about with screws, but fitting it nearly cost me a broken toe and toilet. You need to tighten up the screws, then when they are tight enough, tighten them some more and then a third time. And then again. I'm still not convinced that next time I plonk myself down on the bog that the whole contraption won't shoot off to one side.

Don't waste your money and don't believe the guarantee
So, a little over 12 months and the seat has effectively split around the mounting points - the first indication was when the "soft close" failed and the seat came crashing down. This is blatantly down to poor design or shoddy materials. Contact with the seller (Amazon Marketplace), who were quite helpful, indicated that they only offered a 12 month guarantee (the sales "blurb" quotes a 5 year guarantee). However, they offered to take it up with the manufacturer - in the meantime we're faced with having to fork out another £40 (yet I see the price has dropped slightly since we bought it - maybe a reflection of the quality?) to replace an item that is inherently unstable. Words of wisdom from the manufacturer???? - The wait goes on......

Perfect fit
After 6 mths trying to find a perfect fit and returning 4 other seats. This one fit. It’s a little wobbly on the easy release but not a major issue

Oh dear... near but so far from what needed for my 86yr old Grandma.
Aim of toilet seat - to be a seat ON a toilet... not a plastic bum accessory used to slide around on porcelain.Fixings look clever but do not do the job required of them. They lull you into a false sense of security by seemingly feeling fairly solid once screwed into place... but any lateral movement and the games begin! Tighten away to your hearts content but you will not win the lateral movement battle. The soft close element actually makes this worse due to the resistance created.. when opening, you go from a nicely lined up seat to a perch at an angle of 45 degrees. I quote my Grandma from behind the closed door, moments after hearing the lid hit the cistern, "Is this on??!".Purchase different fixings and this may be what you are looking for but clearly fixings are not suited to all toilet holes. Happy sliding one and All!

Make sure you fit it correctly..
Well for 20 quid I'm really pleased with this but you do need to be careful to fit the brackets right. They come with urethane cushions that are sticky on smooth, dry surfaces so make sure the toilet ledge where the brackets sit is absolutely spotless clean. I used bleach to clean it, dried it thoroughly then wiped it over with pure alcohol to finish. The nylon fixing plugs have a lip that must not get between the cushion and the toilet ledge or it will be impossible to get a decent fixing. It's really not difficult and once you get it sussed it's a really good firm fix.Highly recommended.
