These get the job done but they're not the best. The color is a lot darker than my other tri-clamps and the finish has a rough "orange-peel" texture which makes me wonder if there are impurities in the metal. The slot inside the clamp is also more narrow than my other clamps which causes these to slide a bit when tightening.That's all fine but the biggest issue to me was that the o-rings has a terrible smell that I can't quite place. It smells like musty basement to me but could also be some kind of chemical smell. I soaked them in PBW for three days but it made no difference. I'm hesitant to use these o-rings in my beer line connections because I can't be sure the source of this odor and whether it will impart off flavors.Overall these work well enough to get the job done but I'll likely not use the o-rings due to the bad smell. For non-food related uses it probably won't matter but in my beer brewing process it's not worth the risk. I'll likely have to buy new o-rings which offsets any savings from the cost difference in these clamps vs the competitors.
