As I Am Curl Color - Dark Teal - 6 oz - Temporary Color & Curling Gel - Medium Hold - Vegan & Cruelty Free

I love the color, it reminds me of a siren’s tail. Curls are defined but I notice my hair is more dry than it was from using the red. I used all of the blue and it’s still not extremely pigmented, I plan on getting the other blue or greens but this doesn’t transfer as much and the application was very easy.

It has a nice hold and gives good texture but the color is not very visible on black hair and only shows itself under sunlight. However, i like the subtle and shiny finish.Application is easy but you need gloves otherwise you stain your hands.You have to use an hairdryer to dry it right away and only transfers to other places if wet or if you play with your hair too hard.The smell is okay/good.Washes away easy.

While the final product was fun for a day, I couldn’t do it for more than that, and the work to get where I did isn’t worth it. I bought dark teal, but on my hair it came out looking blue/gray. It was still cute but not what I was aiming for. I did two layers, and there’s no way I could have done more. My curls were so stiff, and since my hair is thin, stiff curls aren’t my favorite. I wouldn’t take away from it because of this because different people like a different products/outcome for curls. You definitely need gloves, and something to cover any skin it will touch. I just did a tank top and used alcohol on my skin to get all of the color out. I wasn’t a fan of the smell. Unfortunately I can’t remember it to describe it. It was very easy to wash out. I appreciated that I didn’t have a blue shower afterwards, I didn’t have to wash away any color. So it’s okay for a quick fun time, but it’s messy.

As I've gotten older and retired, I've started using more fun colors in my hair. Most of them have been waxes or henna or something similar, but this time I decided to something a bit more involved. This gel was so much fun! The color worked well in my hair and, while it did stick around for a few days instead of just one wash, I can only assume that was because some of my hair is lighter than the rest of it as that's where it stuck. It didn't stain any of my furniture, walls, or skin, but did take a little work to get off if I did make a mess. Overall, I had fun with it, the kids I baby sit loved it, and I'd buy this again.

It worked okay, it actually didn’t stain like most people say was easy to clean up. I wore gloves but got some on my skin and it came right off. It washed out of my brown hair easily but my blonde is taking a few more washes so looks crazy. My hair was so dry and is still dry from it.

I have no idea why anyone would expect that this would show over dark hair. It's a temporary color--they don't work like that. And it's not a wax, as another reviewer mentioned--it's a gel. Also: all hair colorants will stain your hands, so that cannot be counted as a ding against this product (also, while it didn't wash off with the first attempt--it did wash off within just a few hours). Okay, now that all of that's addressed, I'll tell you about my experience with it, as someone who has consistently dyed my hair bright colors for the last ten-plus years.I have a huge streak of white hair in the front near my part and I've been coloring it with fun colors, mainly pink and purple, for about a decade. I also have very curly hair. Currently, it's faded so I felt this was a good time to try this product. This curling gel with temporary color in Teal looks pretty awesome over my white hair."As I Am" is a hair product company that I've seen in local stores but never purchased before. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. In my hair it has the look of faded jeans if the jeans started out as dark teal, if that makes any sense. I really enjoyed the effect. My spouse thought it was blue, but I don't think he and I see color the same way. The gel has a little bit of shimmer (not as visible in the hair as it is in the jar) in it and it worked as well as my normal curly-hair gel. The scent is very strong--reminded me of vanilla cake--so if you're bothered by strong scents this one might not be right for you.This washed out as promised with one wash. It's a lot of fun for a small price and no commitment--if your hair is light enough to show it. I REALLY want to try other colors--which probably tells you more than anything else I've written here.

Yeah I’m not sure about this item. I used a bunch of it and still couldn’t show except when it came to washing it out. Maybe it’s just this color.

Beautiful temporary color. Bold and Beautiful teal color. It does wash out after a few washes.
