Great cage for a cockatiel
This is a really great cage for our cockatiel. It is very easy to clean and it keeps most of the seeds off the floor. The bar spacing is good and we don't have to worry about our cockatiel getting her head stuck. The only negative is that the bars on the front and rear are mostly vertical and she has a hard time climbing them. I really love the large shelf at the bottom and the easily detachable playpen is worth at least $50. Some of the bars were a little bent but this was easily fixed. Also a couple of the food holders was too tight and we had to bend them. We love the white color. It blends into the living room without being overwhelming. Overall this cage is a very good value and I highly recommend it.

Avian Adventure Bird Cage
I love that cage I bought one just like that one about a month ago. To bad the delivery people are so lazy. The cage had five bent bars and the box it came in was very ripped

Amazon will enter color choice for you.
This is a terrific cage. It is very well made and sturdy. The assembly is very easy. Avian Adventures makes a quality product. The Amazon order page is incomplete and does not provide a place to choose the color you want. I contacted Amazon, via chat, and they put in my color choice. I love this cage and more importantly, so does my birdie!

NOT the Quality I expected!
My African Grey has a large Midwest Homes cage, purchased about nine years ago. That cage is absolutely top quality. So when I went to buy him a smaller sleep/play cage for another room, I naturally looked for the same name brand. I don't know if the company has sold out, or just gone down in the materials they use, but I am completely disappointed in this cage. It is flimsy. The bars are thin and weak, he can literally bite two at a time and bend them together. The doors do not close securely, the little turn and push door knobs are skitchy and don't work anything like on his big cage. The wheels are super cheap and don't roll easily. The bottom of the cage comes out easily, and if you're trying to roll it across the room, there's a good chance it will start falling apart. Oh, and the seed catcher around the bottom... I literally had to use gorilla tape to get it to stay in place. So very disappointed in this purchase.

FYI
Let me begin with I have a larger avian adventure cage for my African grey and I love it. It came perfect packaged,, and was not damaged..I ordered from a different website/supplier. I was in a pinch and needed a cage for my conure as soon as possible.. because the Avain Adventure was a great cage before, although expensive, I thought it worth the money. So I expected a cage to come undamaged for the money spent. It had 4 pieces that were bent or damaged. I emailed the seller, explained the situation, and the need to put it all together as the bird needed a cage, so we had to work with it. The seller did offer to replace the parts, but that would mean taking the cage completely apart to reassemble. We bent the bars back, and the tabs to we could make it work, so said a discount would be acceptable. Sent pictures of all damage except the crooked playtop that there is no fix for. Seller only states they would send parts. We declined the parts for reasons stated. This is merely to make a point for the money, quality control should be in place and compensation to consumer when its damaged is offered as a choice when consumer in pinch. Not to mention its work to put together and more to disassemble for those of us who are elder and limited on what physically can be done. JS.

Good but NOT what it used to be
This cage is decent. It was fairly easy to put together. I would not have been strong enough to put the playtop together. I'm glad my husband put it together for me. I had an older version of this cage and it was defiantly heavier. They aren't as good as they used to be but still decent quality.I did not deduct starts for this BUT... The first cage Amazon sent me was severely damaged. The cage top and the bottom shelf had bars bent so bad that some were pulled out of the hole they are supposed to fit into. I don't know about the rest of the cage because I packaged it up and didn't bother to look any further. It was so damaged it was unusable and unsafe for any bird. I don't know if it was a manufacturing/packaging problem or if it was a used cage Amazon was trying to pass off as new. Either way please don't settle for this if you get something similar. The replacement cage was fine. No damage except a couple of nicks in the powder coating but that is normal with any cage. That's why they provide the touch up paint.

bought this, disappointed
I bought this bird cage based on the excellance of workmanship and quality of AVian Adventure chiquita dometop bird cage which I had recently purchased for my blue crown conure. Both the chiquita and nina dometop cages are made by Avian Adventure. I was so disappointed in the Nina dometop bird cage . The quality is very poor, there were rust spots in many places on the cage, and it is quite small and unsteady when put together. I'm too lazy to pack it up and send it back so I will be using it, although I don't expect it to last very long with my lovebird pair and their chicks or hold up to the wear and tear of my birds (I have 9 birds). I had hoped to buy several of these cages to house my love birds ,my green- cheecked conure and my cockatiel, but will be looking elsewhere and at a different manufacturer. Poor construction, poor quality of materials used; don't buy this cage. Buyer beware. Cheap price=cheap cage.

Solid, quality cage.
My Green-Cheek Conure loves it. Everything can be rinsed and/or wiped off easily. Toy Tower on top is removable (I keep outside for daily outdoor time). Comes with Stainless Steel Bowls.

Good cage for cockatiel
Pros: easy to assemble, strong bars, spring loaded door latches, nice bowlsCons: cheap perch, base wheels jamDecently sized cage for a single cockatiel. Easy to assemble, I'm 5'4" and did it alone but having someone to help you hold pieces will make it go faster. Everything hooks and slides into place then it held together with the dome top. Wheels were easy to insert in base, did not need a mallet but they don't roll smoothly and jam, easy fix with a bit of mineral oil or machine lubricant. Spring loaded door latches, nice bowls included. Perch does not hold well and is quite large, bird has a hard time perching on it so I just left it out plus the ends are not sanded and lots of wood bits are sticking out.

Do not buy!
No instructions for a star, have missing, no bowls or holders, we had to make a grommet to put the legs on. Most importantly the cage is unsafe. The bars are too short and don’t go to the ends, cracked welds and sharp edges on drip guard where the tray skids in. Rungs also ment near the opening for feeder bowls missing.
