This is a hand blown glass vase with a flowing wavy top. It is surprisingly light for it's size and perfect for adding a classy and colorful touch to your home. This vase features a wonderful iron red orange transparent coloring in lines that spirals down the vase. All my handmade items are signed and dated with the year created. This listing is for the vase as shown in the pictures, which measures approximately 4.5" wide and 9" tall. Each glass piece I make starts as a molten flowing blob of glass, nearing 2000 degrees F. I blow air into the glass with a hollow steel pipe, add glass color to make it pretty. At this point I must work quickly, deftly, and precisely with various glass tools to shape the glass into the final product before it cools down too much. Once satisfied with the piece being made, I then place it in a kiln that slowly cools the glass to room temperature so that no cracks or stress form in the glass, stabilizing it for normal day to day use!
