I tucked this bag into my luggage for a trip to London. I was a bit nervous about pickpockets and I liked the security features. I ended up using it every day and it was fantastic. It's very attractive, light, durable, affordable and safe -- the opening is in the back. I kept putting more and more stuff in it as the day went on (a light jacket, a hat, a few purchases, etc. etc.). I'm not sure I would use it every day at home, as there aren't many pockets on the inside, (although there are two pockets on the outside I didn't even notice until well into the trip.) but I will always take it for travel. Highly recommend.

I just received this bag, and I'm so impressed I had to leave a review. It really is a nice looking bag, and the size is perfect. Just enough for all your everyday essentials, and maybe even some more. The quality of the bag seems good, the zippers all look well made and work great. The hidden zipper side pockets will be great to throw those items in you want to quickly access, like phone and keys. I didn't think I'd like the fluffy little attached keychain, but it's actually cute, not too much fluff and just adds a little extra style. It doesn't bother me, but as some other reviews mentioned it may be made of real fur so take note if that's a concern. Also, as others mentioned it was a nice added touch that it showed up with a scented sachet and smelled good, not that funky smell like some new bags can sometimes have.The only con I can see is that with the straps in the back, it does add a little difficulty in accessing the main compartment. But to me, that's worth it for the added security of the main pocket being against your back, and the ability to use as a backpack. Also, the side 'water bottle' type compartments don't fit any of my aluminum bottles. But those are just small inconveniences, it doesn't make me love this bag any less.I can't speak to the durability of this as I just received it, but it does appear to be well made and I don't have any concerns about it. I'll be using it on an upcoming vacation and will be great for switching between using as a backpack and then a purse when you don't want to look so touristy with a backpack. If it holds up well I'll probably order again in another color I love it so much.Added 6/30: I just wanted to add that after a 10 day vacation to the Smoky Mountains I still LOVE this bag! It held up great, even used it on a few small hikes and was perfect for carrying just what I needed to keep with me. I loved the fact that the main compartment is against my back so didn’t have to worry about theft in the tourist areas. Also, I wanted to add that this bag is definitely waterproof. It rained on us just about everyday and nothing in my bag got wet at all!! Even in a few heavy downpours!UPDATE 5/23/19 -- I came back to look at this bag again to consider purchasing in another color and was surprised to see all the reviews! When I first bought it there weren't many reviews and now there are a thousand plus! I wanted to come back and add that almost a year later and I am STILL using this bag every single day and it's held up great! I'm talking a full school year of carpooling my kid all over town and being tossed into and out of the car constantly (the bag, not my kid). There are days I know I'll be at school volunteering all day so I carry my full heavy yeti bottle plus all my essentials and it still holds up. I mean I'm practically beating this thing up to give myself a reason to purchase a new one and it's still going! Not even one single small tear or fray or malfunctioning zipper. I'm usually the type that changes purses every couple weeks or so but I still love this bag so much it's been the only one I've used all year!

I bought this for an upcoming vacation, but tried it out recently on a weekend trip. It worked great as my personal item on my flight. The bag held everything I wanted during the flight: tablet, phone, earbuds, wallet, snacks, small water bottle, hairbrush, medications, etc etc. with room to spare. It fit under the seat in front of me easily, and left me plenty of room for my feet. I was traveling with only a backpack style carry on, so I was glad to have the shoulder bag strap and handle as well. I was so pleased with it, and look forward to using it on my upcoming trip. It looks much more polished than a day pack, and functions just as well.

I bought this bag for 2 reasons. I needed a bag for when I use public transportation or needed to carry things comfortably that don't fit in a regular-sized purse. I use this as a church bag as well, so when I know I'm going to be at services or singing engagements, this bag is perfect for these occasions. This bag is beautiful and very functional. I love the nylon body with the "pleather" strip down the middle. It makes the bag look classy. It also has a detatchable strap to turn it into a regular purse when a backpack is not allowed (this worked well in DC going in and out of certain buildings). It has a lot of space to carry all of your basic items, (keys, wallet, makeup, personal items, electronics, etc.), as well as a a writing notebook, a couple of books and a SMALL tablet or laptop. When I mean small, I'm talking about a 7-9" tablet/IPad, or a laptop that is !3" or less and has a thin body. It is very waterproof. Mine has been through some serious rainstorms and it still looks new. There are a ton of pockets and It has wonderful saftey compartments that are hidden on the outside and the main opening is flush against your back so nobody can see or access it. The 2 outside side pockets carry umbrellas and water bottles snuggly. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the bag, especially from women who work at security checkpoints. HOWEVER, I do wish I bought the large instead of the medium size. Why? Because I am not able to fit heeled shoes or boots along with my regular things, unless i do a lot of manuvering, which makes it difficult to access them. I cannot fit a notebook over a standard size. My main portfolio, which is 10" does not fit at all, therefore making it impossible to carry them to meetings or when I have to preach. Overall, this bag is wonderful, and I am actually considering getting the larger size. A+
