It makes gardening fun again!
As summer comes so does our fast growing bushes and trees. It has always been a pain to use our pruning clippers on them, and I always fell behind. The plants grew faster than I was willing to sit in the sun to trim them. These battery powered clippers however make it a breeze to keep everything trimmed. These clippers are easy to use and fully compatible with my existing Makita batteries. With the smallest 1.5AH Makita battery, it trims for a very long time and is relatively lightweight. After several bins full of trimmings, I barely moved the battery below 100%. There's an LCD indicator on the trimmer to show the battery level and number of trimmings, but I found the display to be unnecessary. The power on/off button is near the battery with a beep to confirm it's on. The cutter is so powerful and sharp, I was worried about getting in the way of it from a safety perspective. Once you press the trigger, it does its job with efficiency. There's no going back. The cutter, gears and motor sounds a little like the word "guillotine" every time cuts! It usually cuts thick branches in one pass, unless you have a very dry, dense and thick branches where you may need to trigger it multiple times. Even then, it was still impressive and much better than if I had struggled to do it by hand. It comes with a nice case to hold the cutter and a few accessories to swap out the blade, although I won't be putting it away until the end of summer!Bottom line, this is my new handy tool that I can't live without!

Great cutter, A lot of cutter for reasonable money.
GREAT PRODUCT WORKS FINE ON DAWALT BATTERY. It cuts thru wood or weeds brush over 1 inch in diameter. Very very impressive. Lots of power, and battery drain is extremely small. I use a Dewalt 3 amp hour battery. A little heavy, but packs a lot more power. Though, the 2 amphr battery is a lot lighter. The trigger switch is good and has a safety feature that is better than other cutters. Release the trigger and the blade stops cutting and returns to open position. Much better than others that just keep on cutting once the trigger is pulled. Could save you a finger getting in the way. I didn't like the small circular on off switch. It is critical to making the cutters functions work. It is too small and hard to press. They need to spend 2 cents more and put in a bigger and better switch.

Very effective
We have an infestation of invasive Tree of Heaven sprouts in our backyard. Unfortunately, weeding is also a pruning job cause of it, and using manual shears is hard on the back and tiresome. If these don't slice through the first time, the follow up cut does the job soundly. Seriously, these are so powerful for being so compact, and despite sticking a Lithium Ion battery on it, the weight is very manageable. It doesn't feel overly sturdy, but sturdy enough to last a couple years at least. The few things I can critique on it are: the power button on the base is very stiff, small and, at times, hard to press; the startup time is kind of long, lasting several seconds after its turned on before it actually is ready to go; and there's very little in the way of safety. To that last point, the shears default state is actually open, and no closed. I'm guessing it's so someone doesn't accidentally clip their finger off when turning this off, but having to clip, THEN turn it off feels weird.Bottom line though? These accept the DeWalt 20v MAX battery, works perfectly with it, and is cheap compared to actual DeWalt brand tools. It's worth it, easily.

Amazing product
Look no further for battery loppers. This is a power house. My husband got these for me because I have nerve damage in my hand, making manual loppers almost impossible. It is easily run with one hand without fatigue. I’ve cut much larger saplings than it’s recommended for by just pulling the trigger multiple times. It’s VERY responsive after the trigger is pulled, making swift cuts. I used this in front of several people and all of them plan on buying one in the near future. The battery lasted FOR HOURS with constant use and pushing its limit with larger trees. I kept saying” I’d work until I went through one battery “. Well, I gave up before it died because it out lasted me! You won’t regret this purchase

No instructions, but does the job well.
No instructions with this pruner, so it took me a bit to figure out how to get the jaws to open. Just pull the trigger a couple times after turning it on, and it should open.Treat this tool with respect, because if you get distracted, it would be very easy to cut yourself, severely. I'm sure it could take off a finger. The blade moves a little faster than I think it should, and doesn't slow down much when it meets resistance. You don't have much of a chance to stop cutting if you have to, so make sure to keep your free hand away while cutting. All that aside, it works great. Cuts quickly, and went through 1.5" branches easily. The Dewalt battery is a tight fit, but works just fine with it. The grip is ok, big enough to get a firm hold on it. The trigger could be contoured a little better for comfort, but if you're wearing gloves, it's not that noticeable.I got this mainly for trimming rose bushes, but I tried it out on some wayward tree branches, with good results. Plenty of power. Large, but not overly heavy, depending on which battery you use. I'd use the smaller 2ah battery, just for comfort. It lasts a good while, and if you have several Dewalt batteries, as I do, you'll never be without power for it.We'll see how it holds up. I'll try to update after a few more uses.

Great buy! Easy to use!
Absolutely love these clippers. Already had the battery from my DeWalt drill works great with my extra battery. We use these all the time and have never had any trouble with them. I would highly recommend especially if you have arthritis and cutting with regular cutters bothers your hands. Also cuts quite a few different size limbs etc. With ease. For the value I would recommend they're easy to grip. Of course the weight's going to be more because of the battery doesn't bother me much.
