Purchased for my girlfriend, she wanted something brighter than the old one she had. This one is bigger and much brighter. It is pretty and durable. It exceeded my expectations So she is happy. She said this is the best gift that she has received.

I really liked that this had a cord. I didn't want the hassle of replacing batteries all the time. I don't see any distortion on either side. The light is bright which is what I wanted. The light has 3 settings so you're able to dim it if you'd like.I agree with the other reviewers about the standby light. Its obnoxious, it's too bright and unnecessary and will drain the batteries if you choose to use battery power.I was expect the mirror to have some weight to it. It's extremely light weight... I would prefer it to be weightier. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase though

The mirror is very pretty. Love that it works on batteries too. It just isn't bright. It got great reviews so I was hopeful. Works okay for makeup but not for plucking. Wanted to love it.

I just got this for my mother. She likes it. It has three brightness levels that you change with a touch button and the lighting is LED type, no fluorescent tube which I've had in the past (more costly to replace). The two sided mirror swivels forward and back so you can change sides between the 1x and 7x magnification. It's relatively short, but if you place it on your vanity and sit in a chair to look into it, then it seems fine. You can use it with 4 AA batteries or you can use the supplied adapter to plug it into the 115V wall outlet. I've bought mirrors like this for my daughter and my mother. This one seems pretty good for a $40 price.

Accidentally purchased two of these. Before I got a chance to return the extra mirror the one I was using stopped working. The light would not come on. Worked fine for a couple of weeks but one day it just would not turn on. I guess it worked out that I had a “backup”. It’s been a few months and that one is still working (fingers crossed).

The mirror was pretty and bright, but it would not stay still. It would move around when trying to use it. Tried to see if something was missing and couldn’t find anything.

When I received this light, it was not working correctly. The light was blinking in a tilt position and not on at all in the straight position. It would work if I slightly squeezed the mirror itself on edges. Please read update below.**Update: I changed my review to 5 stars today because, after returning the mirror, I was contacted by the company and they offered to replace the mirror for free. I received my new mirror yesterday and it works great. It’s just what I hoped it would be. The company was wonderful to work with and wanted to make sure I was happy with their service. I would definitely buy from them again.

Mirror size is nice. I didn’t buy it for the light feature so I can’t comment on that. The one downfall is the swivel mechanism is loose so the mirror has trouble holding a position.
