mandala colouring books - 2 pack
These are really nice colouring books. There is a good selection of mandalas and full page mandala inspired patterns with varying degrees of intricacy so you can pick something really detailed that will take more concentration or something with larger areas and will be a bit quicker. Each image is clearly printed and the lines are well defined, each page has an image on one side and the other side is blank, there are also perforations along the spiral bound edge so they can easily be removed if you want to.The quality of the paper is pretty good and it’s nice and smooth. I found it took fine liners, felt tips and colouring pencils well. The felts I had on hand were a bit chunky for this, I tend to prefer coloured pencils for colouring in but wanted to see how the paper stood up to pens. There was minimal bleed through to the other side of the paper from the pens.Very pleased with these, good quality and nice patterns would definitely recommend.

Nice designs!
These are lovely colouring books - and NOT just for adults! The geometric designs in them are clearly printed (though, personally, I'd prefer lighter lines so that I can decide if I want to make the lines stand out or not!). Each book has 40 pages, with a design on 1 side and the other blank. This is because if you use a felt pen the ink can show through the paper just a little. However, the paper holds the ink well, with no bleeding. I've not used artists' inks, though, and my preference is for pencils as I like to shade them. It's a restful activity that takes a different sort of attention than many other tasks and so can occupy you while leaving you rested at the same time. Fab!I do think that these are a tad overpriced - 20p per page at time of writing - and I am saddened that there is no indication of the paper being sourced with the environment in mind, either via FSC type oversight or even with a proportion of recycled pulp used (which is easy to do in this day and age and so the absence of even 5% such material is to me close to inexcusable). For these reasons I've docked a star, but the quality is pretty good.Recommended.

Excellent quality paper, great variety of mandalas
I got this set of two Mandala coloring books for my recently widowed sister with the aim of giving her a way of switching off and finding a place of serenity. She loves them with a passion, and has even joined an adult-coloring mindfulness group, which has helped get her out of the house and meet new people. Each of these books contains 40 Mandalas, each one different, some patterns covering the entire page but the majority featuring the traditional full shape. The patterns vary in intricacy so are equally suitable for beginners as well as more the more practiced in this art.The quality and thickness of the paper is excellent, as is the reproduction of the patterns. To prevent any bleed through, a piece of black card is provided to slip under the page you’re working on. The books are thus suitable for pencils, pens and paints.Although there is no firm backing on the books to allow you to color with them resting on your knees, the ring binding means that you can open every page completely flat.Great value for money and highly recommended.
