Bepuzzled Jigsaw Shaped Puzzle Foul Play, Multi-Colored, One Size

This is a very good puzzle even by the standards of the University Games Classic Mystery Series. As usual with this series, the jigsaw image is not that shown on the box. These jigsaws are well designed from a difficulty point of view but this one is particularly tricky. There are large areas of very similar colours and the way the pieces are cut (leaving only a tiny speck of the idenifiable adjacent colour) means sometimes you can look at a piece for ages without intellectually 'clicking' where it should go.I've rated it 5/5 for the jigsaw difficulty factor rather than anything else as I enjoy a difficult challenge. The final image itself is interesting but I wouldn't rate it as attractive in an scenic vista of beautiful countryside sense. It comes with a little short story booklet outlining a murder (a vineyard owner down on his luck takes a business partner with a foxy wife - one of them ends up dead. Whodunnit?). The story wasn't as good as others in the series and the solution was a bit strained (hard to guess) - so if you're buying the jigsaw for the Whodunnit mystery aspect others in the series are better (eg. Titanic).So 5/5 for jigsaw challenge/difficulty and 3/5 for the muder mystery booklet + solution. Don't let that put you off though if you like a trickey jigsaw this will keep you occupied for hours.

Loved this puzzle but you really have to work at it in day light. The colours are very similar so it's hard to know were things go. In the end it came down to sorting pieces by shape and colours. Very satisfying when I got it finished. Would love to show a picture................but that defeats the purpose.

Really good puzzle. We will be getting more in this series. Would highly recommend.

Puzzle was simple but difficult. Pieces fit nicely. Comes with an 8-page story for you to delve into. Definitely one of the more fun mystery puzzles I've done.

This puzzle is like none other I have ever done. The puzzle pieces are different sizes, colours with weird shapes. Frustrating at times, very challenging and requires lots of patience.

Diferente a otros rompecabezas... super interesante no saber cual va a ser la imagen fina, eso hace mas emocionante el acabarlo!

Fun and challenging

This mystery puzzle was given to me as a gift a few years ago, and this time we purchased 2 to give as gifts. It's a fun challenge not to have any idea what the puzzle looks like! The story really doesn't give you any idea of what the puzzle looks like, but the finished puzzle gives whodunit clues to finish the story.
