The metal tines are amazing.If you hit stones or kerbs etc. then there will be sparks and they will wear down, but for cutting long grass or jungles then they are brilliant.I cleared a 20m x 20m field with 3 foot long grass in 35 minutes with 2 of these metal tines.

Hugely disappointing. The steel cables don't last long at all. Almost immediately the plastic coating comes off and the steel wire starts to fray. As soon as it does it rapidly shortens. As soon as it shortens it becomes useless. I can hand on heart say that nylon cord works much better than these. I've found Oregon nylium 2.7 to be the best. Don't fall for this useless and costly gimmick like I did, I assure you it's something you'll regret. I guarantee you will only use it once before you change it!

By far the best strimmer head system on the market. Easy to use. No hassle with cord jamming which is the plague of traditional systems. Selection of cutting ends made to suit any job. Once you use this system you won't use anything else.

I had a steel blade on my strimmer but it wouldn't hold a candle to these cutters. I hate gardening/strimming but these cutters actually speed up my strimming time.
