This is my first time to try front traction. I chose this item because it was the cheapest and it came as described. I always add a little extra glue to the corners of all my traction pads and I did the same with this one. The first time I used it I realized how different it felt, firstly it gives a lot more buoyancy about a liter and a half which could be good if you have an old board laying around which needs a couple more liters to help you out, secondly it does raise up your front foot by maybe about 2 mm rich made it a challenge to find my front rail to bite into the wave face. But my second session I had already adapted about 50 to 75% and kind of liked it. So I’m gonna keep it for now and continue using it and see how it goes. But all in all it’s a fine product seems like enough traction and kind of fun to try some thing new

I have purchased these traction pads twice before and have loved them, but this last time the skimboard I put them on was defective and only lasted 30 mins in the water. I sent the skimboard back, but heard nothing from the skimboard company about getting a refund for the pads. Punt Surf sends a follow-up email after purchase to make sure evrything is good with the product, so I was able to email them back directly about the situation and they immediately refunded me no questions asked! Amazingly helpful. Can’t go wrong with this product, it works great and if it doesnt for some reason, they will make it right.

Easy to place on the board and they have held up fairly well this summer.

Great pads, very comfortable and they work well for a new rider. There are no instructions but installation was just a matter of removing a sticker back and pushing it down. I actually have to attach a vice to one cause the surface of my board didn't immediately adhere but once the adhesive cured it feels solid. Placement on the board is left up to the rider.

These pads are very soft and light, which I think works very well for front traction. It's actually lighter, provides more traction, as well as easier to move my front foot around than wax. Highly recommend for front traction.The foam is very soft though, so it does start to fall apart easier than other pads. Not so much a problem for the front, but I've had that problem from my rear pads. Also, if you ever need to remove these pads, they fall apart easier than others and leave a lot of gooey residue on the board.

So far so good. Thoroughly cleaned board of wax then wiped down with windex. I let the pad adhesive cure for 24 hrs before first use. Skimming a couple times a week and holding up well. I only wish the rear pad was a bit wider and taller. Ended up buying additional pads for the mid/front section for better traction, allowing less wax needed.

awesome track pads! we're beginner inland skimboarders and ordered these pads based on reviews - they did not disappoint! super easy to apply, looks good, and no one slipped off the board and broke their a**. 3 people have been hittin' the water for a week and their still stuck in place. great product!

These came quickly! We put them on after watching a video. We applied them to a wooden skim board that my stepson got last summer. (this was to get some use out of an inexpensive board before we splurge on a more expensive one!) He tried it out this weekend and said it helped him a lot! (vs skimming without the pads). I did notice a little bit of sand got underneath the very edge of the back pad, but it doesn't seem like it's going to be a problem. We sanded the board, wiped it with rubbing alcohol, measured and applied them. I had my stepson stand on them to make sure they were really adhered well. Then we waited about a week before trying them out.Very happy so far with this purchase!
