The Beach Rat is a MUST!
The media could not be loaded. Update: the Beach Rat is GREAT! I highly recommend the Beach Rat tie-up ropes as well. I was able to borrow a second and third anchor from friends and I’m glad I did when the water got rough to stabilize the boat in crowded setting.The Beach Rats held perfectly and were easy to anchor.Im very impressed with quality of this anchor (this my ‘out of the box’ opinion). I’m heading to the sand bar at Torch Lake Michigan this coming Saturday and I’m beyond excited to put it to use! I’ll post an update after our vacation.

A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY
This expensive anchor was purchased to anchor our pontoon boat at the sandbar at the southern tip of Torch Lake in northwestern Michigan. The water where we anchor is 2 1/2 - 3 feet deep, and the sand is stone free. As shown in the pictures, the SECOND time this anchor was used, the weld broke; and the anchor unscrew with no blade attached. This anchor was not abused in any way. It was used according to instructions. I strongly regret having purchased it and recommend that anyone else looking at this anchor look elsewhere. I have tried to contact the supplier but have had no success. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ANCHOR!

Beach Rat stands behind their product
I had an issue with the auger breaking off my Titan anchor. I emailed Beach Rat asking if I could buy replacement parts for my Titan anchor. They emailed me back saying they had an issue with the welds and would send me the replacement part free of charge. I appreciate their honesty and standing behind their product! They were also very good to work with.

Well made!!!
Used this at the sandbar for my 23' Center Console boat just outside the channel with lots of wake and current. It held the boat without any issues. Will be ordering another one.

The augur broke in two months
The product worked great for two months until the auger broke- I was hoping to buy just the auger- but no one at Beach Rat or Amazon will return an email or phone call - hence their desire to have to repurchase the entire anchor - too bad that after sells support is poor - it is a promising anchor

Fast shipping! very nice set up. its better than anything out in the market. Holds my 195 scarab easy! When i got it out of the box its built very well

Buyer Beware. Broke on first use
I was excited about this product and putting to use. Unfortunately its first use came after the refund eligibility period and it broke on first use. I was screwing it into the sand when I heard a snap and the resistance went to zero. The auger snapped off and I was left with a pole essentially. The seller does not appear to offer product support so if you’re beyond the return period you could be stuck.
