Sauce Lab + Urban Kangaroo Gardener Blend Hot Sauce DIY Kit

This DIY hot sauce kit is a fabulous gift for the hot sauce lover. I've been making my own hot sauces for a bit, but these turned out far superior to my own. It was fun to make the different hot sauces, and opened my eyes to all the possibilities for future experiments for other recipes. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the set needs to include a small funnel for pouring into the bottles. It is quite difficult to pour, especially the 'garden' because it had a thicker consistency. Also, the larger glass bottles should come with the little plastic plug that allows the hot sauce to be applied more slowly, without having to worry about accidentally dumping it out. Every hot sauce comes with those plugs, and people are used to this. I just pulled the plug off another bottle to re-use, but it would be nice if they came with the set. Besides that, great recipes, nicely packaged, and a really cool idea.

I was looking at a similar product but it was out of stock so I went with this one and all I can say is I’m happy I did!!! Everything you need is included except for a few cooking staples you should have in house-sugar/vinegar. The three included recipes were easy to follow. You can make a mild, medium or hot sauce. We like it hot! On the next batch we make, we’re going to venture from the included recipes but now we have a better idea of how to make some sassy sauce! :)

I got this for my hot-sauce loving dad for Father's day. He absolutely loved it and has already made a sauce from it. It was packaged nicely, everything was individually wrapped, and it's actually quite economical since you get quite a few bottles of artisanal hot sauce from it. A great gift idea for any of the spicy chefs in your life!

We got this as a gift for my husband. The company was quick to resolve the only issue we had (a bottle broke in shipping and they replaced it within 24 hours!). Not only was this a fun family thing to do, but the sauces were SO tasty, my husband brings them to extended family gatherings.I highly recommend this for anyone that is a fan of flavorful hot sauces.

Great idea but executed poorly and costs way too much for what you get and the way it’s packaged.

I got this a gift for my husband. We loved putting the herbs together and filling up the glass bottles. I love the packaging and the labels look professional. Also, the sauce is quite tasty.

I'm writing this review before the taste test as a disclaimer, will update after the gift is given and the sauce is made. I bought this as a gift for one of my groomsmen who is obsessed with heat. Everything that was promised was in box, packaged tightly, and organized well. The instructions are clear and the kit looks great. I can't wait to try the sauces.

I bought this product as a unique birthday gift for a good friend of mine who loves to cook and it was simply the greatest! Not only is it a great unique gift option, it's high quality and delicious! We've already had a couple grilling sessions and these hot sauces take the food to the next level! Highly recommend!
