Serious treat for genuine puzzle lovers. Definitely an investment, but I'm worried it might be addictive.I got a delightful feeling every time two pieces fell into place. Wooden puzzles really are the best, and I can't get over the beautiful, vibrant colors.The pieces are tricky to align, but the paint stroke and color palette act as clues. The most satisfying puzzle I have solved in a long time.

My wife loves puzzles, but is always complaining that she's not good at it; I have a different opinion. To settle her competence, I bought this puzzle as a gift. She complained, then proceeded to assemble it. Overall, I'm most impressed. I have to believe that, if there were not a complicated pattern printed on the puzzle, it would be virtually impossible to assemble. However, it was so difficult, that it may be a while before we try another....Positives:1. Difficulty is enhanced by having no straight edge margin.2. Pieces are small, but very well-made.3. Out of the entire box we had one bad piece (corner broken off). We contacted the maker and they almost instantly sent out the correct replacement (no small feat for this puzzle), no fuss or resistance. Greatly appreciated!4. There were also a few pieces in special shapes- that was fun, but didn't affect the time required to assemble it significantly.My criticism is that1. Many of the shapes are quite similar, and it is possible to force a piece into the wrong spot (but the poor fit, if you're paying attention, gives this away- in those instances, never a perfect fit).2. We would like the puzzle even more if there were only only place where each piece could be made to fit (even with effort).

My mom is amazing at puzzles and even tho this is only 300 ish pieces she still took a week to put it together. She said it was fun and challenging. This was her first wooden puzzle and we were pleased with the quality. Only one piece had minor flaking of the wood layers, which was unnoticeable once we got it in place.

Took me a few minutes to figure out how the pieces even fit together. The coloring (since the image is like a mosac of sort) does help a lot.The special pieces help the most....since the pieces are easier to find.Typical of artifact puzzles (I have several) they are well made, durable, and fun to do. They don't make the puzzles easy. :-)

Finished the puzzle and found that 2 pieces were missing,
