Phosphor Men's MD007G Appear Collection Fashion Crystal Mechanical Digital Watch

Some good and some not so good.The watch worked fine, no problems as others reported.I've had it about a week and worn it the whole time, no problems.It is a unique watch, I like the oddball mechanical digital watch thing, which is why I bought it.It is not overly blingy as people have said. I'm pretty lowkey and I'm not self conscious about wearing it.However, nobody has commented on it at all. So don't expect a lot of ooohing and aaahing.A bit big and heavy, very thick but not in a cool, in your face kind of big. Just a clunky kind of big.The strap is small and out of proportion to the watch. It is tricky to put on because of the small strapwhich is barely long enough for my relatively small wrists. If you have big wrists it might not fit.The crystals on the face are a bit irregular and the crystal is a bit distorting. The end effect is borderline cheap.The cardboard box was beat up and the felt box looked dirty. There were no instructions. I guess that the watch I got was a return.It worked perfectly, no problems at all and the watch itself looked OK. If I had wanted to give it as a gift, I would have been unhappy.So in the end, I'm wearing it and am satisfied, but not thrilled.

I never used to be a big fan of watches because as a young kid I struggled with dislexia and ADD which made reading analog clocks an embarrassing task sometimes, and digital watches have always been boring until now! I love unique items, anything that makes an ordinary task more interesting. When I saw one of those new Japanese LED watches I started to regain a fascination for watches and started collecting some of the more unique watches I came across. When I stumbled onto this watch I was immediately taken by it, but it's steep price held me back. Even when Amazon put it on sale for about $125 I still had some reservations but ended up making an impulse buy which during the short 2 day delivery time with Amazon Prime I had mixed feelings of excitement and regret. But once I had the watch in my hands and around my wrist all feelings of buyers remorse went out the window!!! So if you have even the slightest interest in this watch and are having a hard time making up your mind then let me tell you, you won't regret buying this watch! It's absolutely beautiful, I've never been a big fan of "Bling" but this watch definitely has some "Bling" and it pulls it off very well! When the little diamonds catch the sun this watch is stunning, it's the perfect combination of an analog watch (it's inner mechanical workings and ticking sound) with a digital like display, it has the ticking sound of an analog watch that sounds amazing. Watching it as the time changes is so fascinating and unique that you just can't get enough of it, so setting the mode to display the seconds allows you to watch and listen to it tick through the seconds, or you can even turn the display off which flips all the diamonds face up, it's even fun to just turn it off and on to watch the little diamonds flip back and forth! So trust me when I say that if you have even the slightest interest in purchasing this watch either for yourself or as a gift, you won't regret it, and whoever you give it to as a gift will be amazed by it and love you forever! Your only regret would be that you gave it away, so if that's what you're planning then you had better buy two of them. The absolute only thing that I would have wanted to see Phosphor add to it is a way to tell time at night, whether it's some sort of backlit function, or even something as simple as phosphorescent glow in the dark paint. But even without it I still have no remorse in this purchase! If you're resisting because you think this is too much bling, it's not. In fact it's almost subtle. The one person who has commented is my doctor, who was examining me and was intrigued. Otherwise, I notice the bling in direct sunlight, but not otherwise. BUT it is easy to read, even at a distance and in poor light. Someone mentioned a movie? I don't think so, but, maybe if it wasn't a dark scene. So far I've had a few issues with the 'seconds' function not going on, but I think I may need to go back to the 'book'. Otherwise a great looking product, comfortable and easy to read the time, which was my main goal. the dull black against the bling is a great look. The leather band is wonderful even in the heat we've been having. I enjoy the blingy look but I have to admit I probably look at it more than anyone else. I am enjoying wearing this watch. I'm a short woman, 5'1" and imagine it would be even less obvious on someone taller. The watch has a quality look and feel. I collect watches of this level and am enjoying the unique qualities this one offers.

I bought this model on march 18 and arrived on march 19. When I got it, the battery was completely dead and I couldn't do much from there considering it uses a CR3032 battery and it's extremely hard to find in Brick&Mortar stores. So, I send it back and get an exchange and it arrives the very next day. SAME ISSUE. This may be an overstock model and it may have been gathering dust but please test these guys out before you ship them. This is ridiculous how I have to buy a set of batteries just because you guys couldn't replace them. I even went to a jeweler to try to get the battery swapped and they didn't have the battery. You guys could have done a much better job. Highly disappointed.

First one received was doa, as referred to in other reviews, but the replacement was fine.I've had tons of people, even strangers, ask me about it. A little sparkly for a dude, but not so much that it's embarassing- just really eyecatching. Nerd-chic. Mostly comfortable, though if you haven't worn a watch in awhile, it'll take getting used to. Safe in the shower.Every once in a while one of the segments will fail to flip- this is no big deal, it'll autocorrect, or you can turn the display "off" and back on. The segments don't flip all at the same time when the time changes, which is a really cool effect. It makes a little noise- enough that you'll hear it if it's by your face (like if you happen to be taking a drink at the minute) but not enough that I ever really notice it. It's never kept me up at night, for instance.Very happy with the purchase.
