Phosphor Appear The Phosphor Appear watch line skillfully blends design and technology to craft the ultimate fashion timepiece. Driven by proprietary Micro-Magnetic Mechanical Digital (M3D) technology, Appear watches utilize miniature-sized rotors adorned with Swarovski crystals that revolve to reveal numerical or chronological information. With each passing minute, an electrical pulse generates an electromagnetic field that changes the position of the crystals on the face of the watch, while producing a distinctively unique sound. Inspired by ruggedized, urban street signs, the Appear watch offers a bold and elegant spin on the traditional fashion watch. The watch face offers "seconds" and "off" modes which show an entire face of crystals. Features: :: Case diameter: 44mm :: Overall case thickness: 14.5mm :: Water resistance: 5 ATM - 50m :: Display: 12-hour only :: Functions: Time, Seconds, and Off Micro-Magnetic Digital M3D TechnologyExclusively in Phosphor Appear The Micro-Magnetic Mechanical Digital™ (M3D) technology enables the following display benefits: • Infinite Display Appearances: The rotatable rotors can be oriented in a variety of different layouts, while any material can be affixed onto the rotatable rotors ranging from Swarovski™ crystals, to precious metals or gems, to almost anything imaginable. • Ultra High Contrast: Depending on material or paints affixed to the rotatable rotors the M3D display technology can achieve the highest contrast of any digital display available today matching that of ink on paper in some configurations. • Low Power Consumption: The M3D display technology is bi-stable meaning that the display requires no power to maintain an image, as power is only needed when transitioning from one time to another. • Wide Viewing Angle: With a viewing cone of 180°, the M3D technology overcomes the disadvantages of conventional displays when it comes to off-axis viewing. Together with its high contrast, it allows the user to read the time at a glance from any angle.

Very interesting watch
I saw this in a store and bought it. It is a very interesting watch. (I rotate about 25) Essentially it is a low tech watch concept in that it tells hour and minutes. Period. There is no question what it says and anyone who happens to see it is intrigued.About a month after buying it, I pulled it out to wear and none of the numbers was complete. Dead battery? Probably. I have the tools and opened it. It takes a huge battery - 3032. Larger than a quarter. In order to find this out I had to open and unscrew the battery cover. Now I had a little bitty spring that I was not sure where to replace it. I took it to a local jeweler who replaces all my snap back watch batteries. He did not have nor could he get from his suppliers the 3032 battery. They ARE available from Amazon. With hat in hand, I went back to the store that sold it to me. They knew about the little bitty spring and had the batteries. It works fine and I am very happy with it until the battery gives out. The seller also gave me a photo of where to put the spring if I find the courage to try it myself, and he gave me an extra battery.Bottom line: It is fun, accurate watch. But you better be a watch mechanic or know one to replace the battery.

Nice Watch
The band is comfortable and the face is eye catching. Some people have complained about the noise from this watch. It does make a click when a number changes, but unless you hold it up to your ear, you'll never hear it. I will say it is a bit too "blingy" for casual wear. But it is a nice watch.

I'm not a watch guy, but I am a "looking good" guy
This watch is truly amazing. It's not like other watches, in the fact that it has what is traditionally known as a digital display, but that digital display is presented in an analogue way.The Phosphor Men's Appear Crystal Watch is one of the best looking watches I've seen in a while. The face of the watch itself is made of a bunch of those tiny little shiny rocks we've all come to know and love. A magnetic interface underneath slides back and forth and flips all the crystals around to display the time effectively. It's amazing to see in real life/time. Look up some you tube videos of MENS PHOSPHOR APPEAR to see it in action. The watch itself is sturdy and well built. The strap is a thick leather (or leatheresque material) that is comfortable and can be made tight enough to sit on the wrist. The watch head itself is sturdy and doesn't feel fragile. The glass used for the "screen" is actually much stronger than you think. Often, while walking around, I swing my arms and the head will hit something. It has never been scratched or shattered or anything like that, except there is one dent where I've hit it multiple times. There are two buttons on the side of the watch that are used to set the time (instructions included in a secret pullout of the really cool packaging). Each also does its own thing: the top one makes the face turn entirely shiny, so that no time is displayed. This saves battery and prevents the semi-annoying click-click-clack sound (more on that later). The bottom one changes it to seconds.Like I said earlier, this is an analogue way to display the time, meaning that the diamonds turn and clack into place. The sound isn't particularly loud or anything, but it is noticeable, especially if you're at a desk and your hand is closer to your ears.Other than that minor complaint, this watch is great. Recommended for people of all ages.
