I really like this shower mat. It's strong, classy looking and feels good on my feet. The wood became dry very soon after I received it, but I put a small amount of wood oil on it and it has looked like new for several months now.I have a tile floor, so I encountered the problem others have pointed out, wherein the mat itself slips on the smooth tiles of the floor. I eliminated the slippage by using the existing screws on the underside of the mat to hold some spongy material, between the mat and the floor. It worked well at first, but soon my material began to fall apart. So recently I used a hot glue gun to place a nickel sized dab of glue on all four corners, then i let the glue set and cure. This method is inconspicuous and more importantly, very effective. . It seems like the glue and the teak will both last a long time.

I am a million times pleased with this product. First of all, shipping was SUPER fast! I live on Hawaii and I have Prime. Even so, it sometimes takes WEEKS for something to arrive. In fact, I ordered something on Jan 31, 2017, and here it is March 7th, and it still hasn't arrived! The House of Teak got mine all the way to Hawaii in THREE days!! It arrived without any damage, and the packing was superb!So, what are my thoughts? I love the rich color of teakwood, and this shower mat was no exception. I had read the reviews and several people said it easily tipped, it didn't have rubber feet, and it left black marks on the shower.Well, I fixed all of that by attaching six of Yueton 20mm Anti-slip Rubber Feet that came in a package of 50 for under $10. My teak mat doesn't tip, it doesn't slip, and it doesn't leave black marks on the floor. These rubber feet also give a little, so it has a slight cushiony feel.Is it strong? Well, I cannot bathe myself without help due to my disability, so my husband always accompanies me in our TINY 36x36 shower!! That os a combined weight of almost 300 pounds! It has been in our shower for about three months now and we usually shower every day.So yes, not only is this strong, but it's VERY attractive!

The House of Teak Shower Mat is one of the best purchases I have ever made for the house. Before purchasing this, I used a rubber and cloth mat to dry my foot after I walk out of the shower. It was darn hard to clean! By the way, you could also use this mat inside the shower enclosure, but I decided to put it outside. You could put this mat anywhere in the bathroom and it will match your bathroom design.The pros and cons of this product based on the specs and my experience are-it is easy to clean, just bring it outside and give it a hose down-can re-stain the product every time it needs refreshing-luxurious looking and upscale look, especially in bathrooms-does not rot or mold easily, insect proofThe (cons) of this product are-the price of $39 is a lot for just a special type of wood being cut, sanded, and nailed together.-its okay but I had it for a month and so, and the color of the stain is beginning to fade. I did not put any harsh chemicals nor did I over clean it.I would say to get this mat if you are in need for something new in your bathroom, either you're remodeling the bathroom or you hate cleaning bath mats regularly. I would categorize this product as a luxurious product, so someone on a budget should avoid buying this as it is not affordable compared to going a local hardware store and building your own look-a-like teak mat.Cheers!

I appreciate the rugged, yet refined qualities of the product. Smooth wood surface and supported well on the bottom layer. Uniform and standardized sizing, so works well side by side or separate.Overall my experience with this vendor/supplier has surprised me in a very positive way. I asked for support on one item, and they put out an adequate and fair option through the system. I followed up later than expected and called them directly. The response seems so surprising, I should reserve details so the vendor can remain sustainable. For the review's sake, consider how a random gesture of extra support could mean this supplier works compassionately and honorably with others too.I buy into that kind of business. I intend to look here again should I find the need for further teak.Possibly my experience could assure another to give this less popular search result a try if it meets basic needs.

Used mat for first time inside my shower. It will slip when wet and soapy when I step on or off of it. 4 stars due to lack of safety/slip resistance hardware. It’s a beautiful mat. I love it’s appearance. Helps to create a spa look and feel in my shower. I plan to order 3 more to cover more of my shower floor & use black rocks around the edge of my shower and add more plants in my shower to create that Pinterest inspired spa look and feel. Pinterest is where I got the idea for covering my shower floor with teak mats. I think this mat is extremely well priced. It also seems very sturdy. I weigh 150 lbs and it didn’t creak or wobble when I stood on it both in and out of the shower. Also when you rub the wood on the front of the mat it feels well oiled. However, the back side is not as smooth and could use some light sanding and another coat of oil. I squeegee my shower after use so I just squeeze the top of the mat also and place it on it’s side to dry. I am going to add anti slip screw on plastic feet as recommended by other customers and see if that stops the slipping problem. And another coat of teakwood oil to front and back of mat. Unfortunately, having to perform these additional improvements to the mat increases the cost.I will report back after further use and upgrades.

This has been a great addition to our camper wet bath. Now, after someone takes a shower, you can enter the bathroom without getting your feet all wet.
