An Important Book
Dan DeCarlo deserves the fine treatment he receives here; like Bill Ward, like so many underrated artists who did not work in the superhero gene, he is a one of a kind talent. This has great binding. I have placed it alongside my Alex Toth "Genius" hardbacks. What a fine book design, like a rich Folio / Taschen edition.

Wonderful overview of an important cartoonist
I loved this book so much! Bill Morrison has done Dan DeCarlo a great service by presenting us with a beautiful biography and art book. DeCarlo's entire life and career is covered - from childhood, to the war and meeting eternal love Josie in Belgium, to working with Stan Lee on countless stories of Millie the Model and others, to his long tenure at Archie Comics and creation of Josie and The Pussycats, to life after Archie when his lawsuit over Josie and the Pussycats failed. And yes, we get a long look at his sexy art from naughty joke publications, making this a book for somewhat mature audiences. Through highs and lows, DeCarlo proved himself to be a singular talent, and this book is a thorough and affectionate tribute to the man and his art.

Looks good but....
Book looks like it would be great but unfortunately came badly damaged and missing the gift wrapping option that we had paid for.
