Tastes unpleasant but does the job. Dentist Hygienist said my teeth were quite clean and asked what I used and where she could order it!

I must say, this is the best natural toothpaste I have used after trying out a ton. It actually leaves your mouth feeling clean and it provides a potent mint breath that is fantastic. Unlike most products, it does not have an artificial foam to it because it is more along the lines of "toothclay" than "toothpaste". I would not consider it to be abrasive. The only concern I personally have is regarding the Prop 65 lead warning, since the item includes bentonite clay. Uncle Harry’s toothpaste has trace lead (5.4 micrograms per brushing) from bentonite clay—less than many organic foods and poorly absorbed—but it’s still a tiny, cumulative addition to your daily exposure. For most adults it’s likely negligible, though caution’s wise with kids. It has not caused any deleterious effects e.g. sensitivity for me personally. In fact, I believe my teeth are stronger after using it.

So I ordered this first and read the reviews after, which in retrospect was a really good thing, because I don't know if I would've still ordered it had I read all the opinions on this product.I had been reading up on the bad stuff in toothpaste for a long while, so I told myself that when I finish the tube of paste I had been currently using I'll get something better. Well I finished that tube about a month ago, and after realizing that I had pretty much squeezed every last drop that I could get out of it, I had no choice but to look into something that was healthier for my teeth.This product came highly recommended by one of the blogs I was reading as I was looking into alternative toothpastes. In my excitement to have found something that looked like it was everything healthy, I quickly ordered it, and only after a day or two did I go back to read the reviews, and then started getting anxious that I had made a mistake by ordering this product too hastily with everyone's complaints about the taste. But at that point it was too late, because the product had already shipped and I didn't have any toothpaste left.Well thankfully I've been using it for a month and I have to wonder what everyone's problem is with the taste. Like seriously, I don't know how much you guys put on your brush, but I have an electric toothbrush and all I do is just lightly pat it on the toothpaste and then brush. I make sure it's lightly coated, and that's really all I need to brush my teeth.Yes, the taste is salty, and it does take a little getting used to, but now, after a month of using it, I don't think I could ever go back to the sweet-tasting toothpaste I had been using until I switched. The first time I used it I looked at my teeth and thought "wow, they look so white!" which says something to me, because I never noticed my teeth being white until I started using this toothpaste. I think the salt acts like a light abrasive which gets the teeth much cleaner.The essential oils do burn a little, and there were a few times when my gums were stinging a bit. But I'm used to it now and it only bothers me if I get it on my lips, which doesn't happen so often, and even then it's not something I can't handle, especially since I'm gonna be washing it off in a minute anyways.I absolutely live this product, tbh, and am so happy to have found it! My teeth look and feel healthier, and this jar will last me a very long time, especially since I only use a tiny bit when brushing.As an aside, after about a month of using this product (and brushing with it 2x a day), one day last week I thought about how I still have a bottle of the ACT mouthwash that I never use and maybe I should get back into the habit of using. So after flossing and brushing, I rinsed with the ACT mouthwash, and aside for the taste being too sweet (and mine was the mint flavor too) I felt like it kind of just coated my teeth with blue #40 and it didn't leave the fresh after taste in my mouth the way it used to. I really regretted using it, because brushing with this toothpaste left my mouth feeling clean and fresh, while using the ACT mouthwash left me feeling like my mouth wasn't happy that I used it. After doing a little research, I found that most mouthwashes are pretty ineffective as it is, and that a lot of them upset the balance of flora in the mouth. So not gonna be using any of that again any time soon.

I took one star off because this toothpaste is a bit messy, but it works great. My tooth sensitivity has decreased and my teeth feel cleaner than with any other toothpaste I’ve tried.

I would never have thought I would like this kind of a product to clean my teeth but it is fantastic. Your teeth are really clean, the peppermint flavor leaves a fresh taste in your mouth, and the product is a reasonable price for the quantity received. I highly recommend this toothpaste.

I wanted to love this product so bad! I love the other items that I've used from Uncle Harry's. I tell everyone I can about Uncle Harry's Mouthwash and Remineralization Drops they have been amazing so I was so excited to try the toothpaste in hopes that it would really supercharge my oral health restoration journey. I have major dental work that needs to be done but it's been pretty under control in the pain department for years.I started using this toothpaste the second I opened it up and made sure to be consistent with it. Then about a week in I noticed some weird sensitivity so I just assumed I hit one of my sore spots while chewing and it would calm down eventually and go away. But it didn't. I have been in excruciating, throbbing, unrelenting pain for the last few nights and I can't think of anything else that changed outside of this toothpaste to my daily routine. I am in so much pain. Instead of closing one of my cavities it has gotten deeper, and now I'm left trying to find the money to hopefully get a few extractions if this pain doesn't go away. I can't even lay down to sleep! It hurts so bad! The first night I stayed up 23 hrs straight until my spouse had the brilliant idea to bring a card table to the side of the bed for me to prop up on and sleep.Get the mouthwash, get the drops, maybe even the tooth suds, but this toothpaste i'd really research before getting if I were you.(P.S. There should definitely be a way to be refunded if the product does more harm than good as it is advertised to help teeth, but did the total opposite!)

I’m just starting to use this product and it’s already a favorite. I believe it really helps with mineralization of my teeth from receding gums. The taste is weird BUT very well tolerated. I love Uncle Harry’s special toothpaste ❤️.

Awesome toothpaste. Drawback it dried out my lips from exposure.
