***after writing my original review (below) the seller reached out to me, unsolicited, and apologized for my experience and rectified the situation. I was thoroughly impressed and had some of my faith in humanity restored by seeing an individual care so much about my experience. Although I still don't recommend the actual product and give it one star, I give the Amazon seller 5 stars. ***They are adorable and I figured out how to get them to work on cellophane bags but they didn't work great for regular plastic bags. One of them stopped working after 5 uses so I threw it away.

This little gadget is awesome! Great little tool for resealing products to prolong its freshness. It does take a little bit of practice in the beginning but once you have it, it's very useful. I love the colors and you get two for the price of one, so I keep one in my kitchen and one in my car. Sometimes I buy snacks for my kids and its nice to reseal some items once they have had their full, it helps protect the kids from spilling food all over the car and making a mess.

Runs out quick and stops working

I might be spoiled by Foodsaver, but these did not work very well.I loved the concept of a smaller, portable, less powerful unit to seal up chips and leftovers.It took several tries to get the first bag closed, and I gave up on the second attempt. After several tries I did get better, but concluded this just wasn't worth the effort. The bag needs to be pretty much pristine, with smooth edges that fit together well. Maybe if I'd had more patience to get proficient, this would have been okay, but it took too long/too much patience for me to use.

Works well once you get the hang of it!I have never used a heat sealer before so it took me a few tries to get the hang of it. Once I did though, I enjoyed using it. At times, it was hit or miss but I'm assuming that had more to do with me not doing it right and less to do with the product. I loved the size of the unit itself and that it was magnetic.Con: The only con I will say is that once the batteries are in the unit, the magnet is not really that strong to hold it to the fridge. It slide down the whole fridge and finally stopped mid way down. The magnet needs to be stronger to support the extra weight of the batteries.*FYI* If Using on shrink wrap bags & then using a heater tool, please read: I used this product to seal the ends of these shrink wrap baggies in order to have less excess when shrinking and although it worked, it was hit or miss. The baggies were very thin and moved a lot so it made using the sealer a bit inconsistent. One time I would get a nice straight line, the next it would pull and tear the bag, and the next it would not fully seal, popping back open. I think this was strictly because of the material of the baggies and would work the way it was intended on other objects. In any event, it did what I needed it to once I got good at it and I had fun using it. I will say that if you are using this as a way to seal a package and then heat shrink it, it will also be hit or miss as using the heater on top of the seal just pops the seal back open more often than not. Not the sealers fault....its meant to seal, which it does. Its just an FYI to those who are using it the way I did.Bottom Line: Worth a try

Don't waste your time. This product does not work well. It melts right through most bags. It is hard to move fast enough not too. Not happy with it at all. Makes a terrible smell also.

These work great if you operate properly. Hold it together for a few seconds and then just run slow and steady (with a few seconds more on a seam) straight across and voila'! Bag is sealed! I use this for things like my baking items (powder sugar, brown sugar, chocolate chips, etc.) and it saves a lot on batteries and my food is always fresh. I have even used on chip bags! This would make a great stocking stuffer!

Purchased item for portability purpose. Once i figured out how to seal bag, worked great! The 4-star is because i had to make at least two "seal lines" to ensure bag was sealed (mostly airless) since there didn't seem to be a way to make a continuous straight, non broken, seal (for me). It's usually from the start point when i have to go back and seal from there (if that makes any sense) 🙂
