Bit wary about this one as our previous kettle was a hob one. But this works well and is very convenient. Connected to our WiFi first time and easily and works well with Alexa. Easy to fill and easy to see how full it is with window on the side. Easy to select temperature to heat water to, interestingly it heats up water in stages so if boiling water it will heat up.to 90 then pause then heat up a bit more and pause etc. presumably it does this so it does not overheat the water. And it beeps when it has finished and, if you want, send a notification to your phone or tablet. Not the quietest but not the noisiest either. No idea how economical it is as we do not have a bl@@dy stupid smart meter but overall, very pleased with it.

I bought the previous WeeKett model but never managed to get it to pair wirelessly. This one went thru so easily. It's making life so much easier, as I don't have to stand and wait for the kettle to boil!! I program it for 1st thing and then 2hourly throughout the day. I work from home, so this works like a dream ensuring I take my regular breaks, but don't waste time waiting for the kettle to warm up. Also being able to adjust the temp is great, as I prefer 70° water than actually boiling. The outside of the kettle remains cools which makes it safer & prevents burns. Alexa lets me know once the kettle has reached the desired temperature. Great value for money.

This is a most interesting kettle.It arrived well packaged, with some detailed instructions.Please see photos and videoThe overall quality of the metal casing is decent, but not very thick or substantial. However, it does the job.The lid is a little stiff to open and close but it has worked each and every time we have used it, and we use it a lot.The kettle engages well with the stand and certain one touch temperatures can be set from there.A more gradual control is to integrate the kettle with Alexa, vis the Smart Life App.You absolutely need to make sure that your WiFi has 2.4Ghz, similar for many smart home appliances. It absolutely will fail to connect to a 5Ghz WiFi.Once connected to the WiFi- easy enough to do visa the Smart Life App then Alexa, providing the Smart Life App is associated with the Alexa App, will then allow remote control.Saying things like "Alexa, what is the current temperature of the kettle" will work fine.Also "Alexa, kettle 90" will set the temperature target to 90c and turn on the kettle. You must NOT add the word "degree" to that sentence, it fails for us if we do that.You can use 1 degree increments for the kettle when using Alexa voice control. We checked the actual temperature with both a infra red tester and a glass thermometer. The temperature is most accurate.It does not over boil either. Switching off immediately when it reaches 100c.We do get a notification on our phones when the kettle is on and then when the target temp is reached, that is via the Smart Life App.It would have been nice if Alexa would have vocally told us, that does not happen.Our router is placed quite some distance away from the kettle, about twenty feet through a double wall. It has never failed with the connection.It is not particular noisy, see video.The brushed metal finish can mark, typical of brushed metal. Easy enough to clean though.The spout is just ok for pouring. You absolutely cannot rush it, if you do then it gushes to the sides. It is ok, as long as you realise that.What I would have liked.....Voice integration with Alexa to tell us when the kettle has heated up.3kw rather than 1.7kw for faster heating of water.Perhaps a thicker metal, as it does feel a little flimsy.Improvements to the spout for pouringWater level gauge sensor built in to be used by Alexa, to prevent it turning on if too little water is in the kettle.Overall we are impressed by the kettle, the remote function being most useful.Depending how much you pay for this, we got it on a deal, I would recommend it.I do hope this review has helped you.

Wow so much better than i thought it would be it's brilliant and so easy to set up in total it took me 4 minutes and the build quality is very good and it's great to be sitting down ap just ask Alexa turn the kettle on and it's done and also being able change the heat setting again just as Alexa and i always make sure that i have half a kettle full, highly recommended.

I had a competitor's smart kettle previously but the firm went bust leaving the customers with no cloud based connection, rendering the appliance no better than a standard kettle. But WeeKett use the Smart Life app, which many big companies have signed up with, so this gives me more confidence that the service will last the lifetime of the kettle.The kettle is well made, and looks good on the kitchen counter. However, brushed stainless steel is prone to unsightly water marks, so keeping it looking good is a bit of a chore. I would have loved this kettle in a matt paint colour. My main niggle is the water level gauge. It is hard to read, especially so when condensation forms on it. I would also liked to have been able to have the 'keep warm' set for a higher temperature than 90 degrees, to keep the water 'just off the boil'. But it's still a good feature.The initial setup process was a bit of a challenge, it didn't play well with my router, even though the instructions in the manual were good. I had to mess about for a few minutes to get it to connect. However once complete the kettle has had no problems connecting and responds instantly when turned on remotely.The app is reliable and once set up with Alexa or Google Home, I can get it boiling with a simple command and so far this hasn't let me down.Finally, it heats quickly and the temperature seems accurate. The controls on the base are easy to use and it gives you a choice of temperatures.Although it's an expensive purchase and there are a couple of (minor) complaints, I would still recommend this, and it seems for now one of the few Smart Kettles available in the UK right now.

Very easy to set up. Great to get up and home to hot water for the much needed cuppa. Quite a loud boil compared to my old kettle. Others have said the beep is quite loud but I don't notice that. My only negative is that the keep warm only lasts a short while. My previous kettle kept warm for hours. But this is a minor issue which I am getting used to.
