Loved this book so much
The story was beautifully and heart-wrenchingly written. Cried a lot while reading it. I loved it so much that I have bought another copy to give as a gift. Even though this is a difficult read because it tells the story of real suffering that is happening even now, I think it is important for people read this book. To know the stories and feelings of the people and to see them as more than just tragic headlines in the news. 10/10. Definitely recommend.

The book that got me back to reading!
It's been a good while I last held a book physically and the first thing I did once this book was in my hands was take a long whiff of those pages and I was immediately in love again. I came across this book in tiktok, a fellow BTS army was encouraging other armys to read the book since the author herself was part of the fandom and I saved it in a heartbeat. As Long As The Lemon Trees Grow, a sad read but it gave me more insight on what the people who fight for their freedom, their country, go through. There were so many times, I would read a page and shut the book just to re-collect my thoughts and even fan my eyes so my tears won't fall. Chapter 29 was absolutely heartbreaking and along with Salama, even I was angry at the fact how this world can just sit back and watch. I tightly held onto the last few pages of the book as it got more intense and urgent until I finally read the epilogue. Spoiler alert, it has somewhat of a bittersweet ending. But I am so glad that it ended with the beginning of a healing process. It was a great read honestly and it sure did spread the awareness of what's happening and what people are going through just like the author wanted.
