As grandparents, we scored big on this gift for our grandson. He enjoys the challenge, having risen above the challenge of even the most intricate Lego products. We will plan on buying similar items for a couple more years.

Bought as a present for 13 year old who found it interesting and liked it. He went wrong on one of the steps but he worked it out and carried on.Nice quality.

My 9 year old son got this for Christmas. Box suggests parental help at that age which is appropriate. He and I have been able to spend time building together

My boyfriend is a whiz at puzzles, every year for his bday I try to find an impossible puzzle. Ten years I've been trying and this one finally challenged him. He completed it in one sitting on a rainy day (like 6 hrs) with movies playing in the background, but even he said it was hard. I can't imagine a kid could complete this without help. I'm pretty sure we'll take it to the goodwill, as the toy itself isn't all that entertaining for a 40 something man, but I was giddy that I finally challenged him. Absolutely would buy something like this again!

I have been holding out on reviewing this in the hopes that my daughter might finish constructing it before I do, but it's been a while and I want to share my thoughts before the holiday season hits. This thing is absolutely amazing. I ordered it for my 13 year old daughter to give her something besides playing and watching others play video games. She loves building things and this looked like the perfect project for her. She has taken in on all on her own. I keep offering to help, but she keeps telling me she doesn't need it. I have helped out a little here or there, but it's usually just to clarify what to do next or to undo something that she realized she did wrong. It has been sitting on the floor of her bedroom for a couple months now, with slow progress being made here and there. Of course it could be done quicker if you work together and focus, but it has been making her happy to feel the accomplishment of doing it on her own. It has been fun as she brings me parts to show her progress as she goes. It seems like it is very well constructed and will hold up well once it's complete. I will suggest you might want to be careful if attention to details is not a strong point. I don't think there is a lot of spare part wiggle room if you mess something up. Some of the pieces are not really designed to come apart again once assembled and are quite a bit of work to undo but so far we have been lucky. Probably the biggest threat is the clear wire which you can probably find extra at a craft store (or on Amazon) if you need it. Even if it never actually gets finished, this has been a great project and I highly recommend it to others.

He beggggggged us for this. It was his big present for 10th bday. We opened it, he took one look at it, and said “dad you build it.” We tried to get him to do it with us, but he didn’t want to help.Once built (it took my husband a considerable amount of effort), my son has played with it once, briefly. The grabber arm has limited functionality. The alternate version, the worm, is cool but it only does so much.I’ll probably find a place to display it because it looks neat at least. But I will not buy another building toy from this brand.
