WB Socks Men's Thick & Warm socks 3 pairs per pack

Not sure how you write a review about socks, little bit of a "They are what they are" really. I ordered these as I do a lot of walking in cold weather with my photography. They arrived promptly, fitted as per the size I ordered no complaints at all there.They are long, as you would hope as they are labelled as Boot Socks. They are made of thick darn, which means whilst they keep your feet warm, they also allow them to breathe. Something other socks forget and your poor feet feel like they are in a Sauna which then becomes uncomfortable.Price wise I think they are good value as they feel like they will last for quite some time, durable is the word I am looking for. YOu can buy mass bundles from the high street retailers for a few quid, but you get what you pay for!All in all if you want a good durable pair of warm yet breathable boot socks, (3 Pairs) then buy these!JUles

Thought I'd try these because my usual thick walking socks are past their best. I put these on and my boots when I'm on the car park of the walk I'm about to start. This was a mistake because I hadn't tried them first.From the first try on the seams on the toes were really thick at the sides on both socks, this cause rubbing on my outer toes. The first (and last) walk with these was walking a mountain trail in Wales. The hotspots they created were unbelievable. I almost took them off and walked without socks in my boots. It was like having carpet burns on my soles. They were also difficult to keep up, like wearing socks in wellies when they end up 4 inches off your foot after a walk.When I got back to the car to put a clean pair of socks and normal shoes on, I took these off and the heels had worn tiny holes in them. My feet were sore even the day after wearing these and it wasn't my boots, they're well worn.I won't be buying any more and can't recommend them. I cant believe how they've got so many good reviews, mine were utter garbage.

To be fair I haven't used them in anger yet but one word of note....the image shows size 8-11, which is what I would normally buy as I take size 10 shoes, but the wording says 6-8(which I didnt notice :)) ....I was about to return them for the bigger size when I realised they are very large for the shoe size, so that they fit fine on my feet.I will report back once I've used them in the cold of Finland.

The problem with writing reviews for Amazon is that some products like clothing can not be properly assessed on first wearing. These woollen socks look and feel as they should with the possible exception of the toes which feel a bit lumpy. Maybe Amazon should institute a set of 'How are they now' reviews six months after purchase when the wearer will have a better idea of their quality after they have been worn and washed several times.

Not the. Best socks you will ever purchase as the heels wear through after six months I use them with work boots all the time even in the summer they are quite robust and very comfortable and keep their shape after a wash you have to weigh up the pros and cons price against how long they will last I have had socks costing twice this were they any better in my honest opinion No I would reccomend these for construction boots etc fo hiking look at alternatives

Shocking quality. Loose threads and holes after wearing once or twice.

Rough and coarse texture and not as thick as I was expecting. Disappointed as ones I bought locally for just a little bit more money (merino wool) were so much better.

I bought these to pad out my Doc Martens and save my feet from getting done in. Wearing these socks on their own was itchy as hell, however, with another thin pair of sucks underneath and they are absolutely perfect. They have padded out my feet so that my Doc Martens are now comfy and fit snugly, and they keep my feet warm in the snow. I have worn them with Converse too, again with thin socks underneath, and they kept my feet nice and warm in the cold weather.
