I am so glad I finally got this tamper. Before I would use the bottom of a measuring cup, but this is so much easier.

After reading numerous reviews, I chose to spend a little more and get this tamper. It's very well made, the wood is completely smooth with no rough spots or splinters. I care for all my wood kitchen utensils/cutting boards with a wood soap and conditioning oil so I cleaned and conditioned the tamper before using. If you don't have wood soap or oil, then wipe off with damp cloth. If tamper needs more cleaning than use a little soap and warm water and dry immediately. Don't let soak in water.I made mini cheesecakes and this made making the crusts much faster and easier.

Ya, it works. My tarts are plenty tamped after using this bad boy!! I’m a tart tamping fool with this in my arsenal. If you want to tamp your tarts like a MF’n pro, get this thing!!

Just received today and I'm very happy with the appearance of this tool. Ends are smooth, not rough as some reviews of other listings I considered; no splinters. The fact this one was made in the USA helped make my decision. Anxious to make my Grandma's mini pecan pies again! This tool should make the process much easier and faster!

Works great, the sweet short crust dough I make for mini tarts, it does not stick to the dough. Only issue I have is, when pressing the dough into the pans, the sides get thick. It needs to angled out from the bottom of the tamper to make the dough mor thinner up the sides. Other than that, works great, easy to use and so far non stick.

This is very well made. I would suggest handwash, although there were no care instructions in the package. The small end fits my bitty muffin pan and the larger end is slightly smaller than my largest muffin pan. For some reason my muffin pan openings are not all the same size but this works in all of them. Well made and very pleased with the product.
