We are returning this product because the cardboard it is made of was crinkled and folding in areas it should not. This is the second scene setter we have ordered from this company. The first one was great quality for the price. Super sturdy THICK cardboard. This is slightly thicker than cardstock. It wouldn’t stand by itself like the old one does. I’m not sure why the change in quality, but I will not be ordering another of these. Really disappointing since the old one we have my kids have played with for YEARS and it’s just barely starting to fall apart where it bends. If it didn’t have signs of damage already, I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t last more than a few weeks. The image on this one is cute, and my girls would have loved to add it to their doll collection which is why I give 2 stars.

This is part of a gift for my 6 year old granddaughter who loves to create elaborate pretend scenarios and who loves the traditional American Girl dolls. With a few 3-d accessories to sit in front of the backdrop, she will entertain herself (and me) for hours. I love it's portability, ability to be stored flat, and that the 2 sides offer different scenarios. I would love to see some house scenes like a living room and kitchen and perhaps a schoolroom. I plan to purchase the beach scene also.They are cardboard, so they won't stand up to really rough play but it is adequate. The scale isn't perfect: the window awning hits Molly mid-neck and if the chairs were 3-d they would fit maybe a 14-16 inch doll. Non of that will hinder my Kayla's imagination at all, and it is a great substitute for a giant dollhouse that occupies most of the room.I've been pleased with other Sophia purchases and the one issue I had with a past order was resolved quickly and completely. The quality is as good or better than the American Girl branded accessories at a much more reasonable price point.

No where in the description does it say it is just a piece of cardboard. Waste of money. Would return it but return shipping is almost 8.00 and only paid 11.00 for the item. My niece used her Christmas money for this worthless junk of junk.

My grandaughter is having so much fun with this backdrop and it's so easy to switch between scenes. Great gift!

Incredibly well made and large for the price. If the others did not repeat some of the same scenes on the other side, I would buy more. It would be nice if they made completely unique backdrops (ie. no repeated backgrounds) and some more "grown up" scenes as well like a ballroom. I really am impressed with this item.

The pictures of this product don't do it justice, you have to see it in person. This is a very well made backdrop that my daughter is using for her AG Bakery set on one side and doll salon on the other. It is nice and sturdy and really great add on for playing and helping set up the story. Highly recommend!

My girls love these! They are sturdy and offer hours of imaginative play. Not recommended for kids younger than 5-6 yrs old as they are cardboard.

This play scene, which is reversible--really two scenes--is adorable! It's well worth the money, if you have a little girl who likes to play withan 18-inch doll. It's well-made and stands up nicely. You will need to buy furniture for it separately, if you want any, such as a table andchairs, a beauty salon chair, or whatever.
