The Tasty Thumb Hardcover – 1 March 2018

I got this for my baby and he didn’t care for it so I ended up returning it I was trying to get him to stop sucking his thumb

We have a just turned 4 year old we are trying to extinguish thumb sucking with. This book is cute and gets us talking about thumb sucking, I love the calendar idea and how they make it positive, but the song is backwards to me. The point of the book is to realize the thumb is not so tasty. But the song on the end (and the last page that we HAVE to turn to) talks about all the yummy things a thumb can “taste” like, which is super confusing for the last thing you read as the message of the book is the opposite

This is terrible. I was trying to find books to help my daughter stop sucking her thumb. This book reccomends the child engaging in delusion as a solution to her real world problem. Absolutely terrible. I am returning this immediately.

I thought this book looked adorable, however it was NOT helpful in trying to help my daughter stop sucking her thumb. After reading this book, she would cry, 'mommy, I want a tasty thumb!'. She's four and could not get past all the 'tasty' things on the thumb.

Very religious. This isn’t super evident from the description. I am not of a Christian faith and fee a bit duped by the description.
