I found these weld-on hinges to be a great value.The ball bearing pivot easily carried the load of the 150 lb. gates in my home project.I applied these hinges to four meta framed / wood paneled gates I made for my external storage.Each gate was 4' wide by 6' high and weighed 150 lbs. These hinges were easy to include in my fabricated frame - I like that they have a rectangular bar base ( unlike some hinges that are only a round barrel).My doors swing effortlessly on these hingesThese hinges include grease fittings - I think a must for any outdoor application.I am overall very pleased with my purchase as a great value and ready availability.I recommend this product.

Heavy duty! We needed a couple hinges for our welded red iron front gates (heavy) and these were welded in place. Perfect!

Great hungers. Held these 300lb gates with ease.

Really thick and sturdy gate hinge. Love the zerk fitting although its a little tight on the grease gun. This type of hinge the gate needs to be hung perfect other wise you will feel some binding when swinging.

Worked as I expected. I had to trim some of one side off to allow it to swing. But that was in the nature of my installation and nothing to do with the quality of the hinges. Also, if they don’t swing freely at first they most likely will after you grease them, a nice feature IMHO.

The hinges themselves are awesome. They work well, are very sturdy and look like they will hold up well. However. They are weld on hinges but come pre painted. So you have to take the time to take the paint off of the weldable section. It would be smarter for the company to only paint the barrel section and leave the weldable section bare to weld. Or leave it all bare.

These hinges are rock solid, tolerances are tight, and the welds are clean. The bearing ball is bright and in excellent shape (I had another set from a different source where the balls were rusted when I got them). My gate is relatively large, 11’ wide by 6’ high, with a 2.5” square tubing steel frame and cedar boards. The hinges provide excellent support and the gate glides like butter.

I liked that a good chunk of steel was provided by which to weld the hinge to each side (one on the steel post and one on the steel gate frame). The gate has been in operation for a month now and it is solid, as are the hinges. It is a 5 foot x approx. 5.5 foot tall gate and it weighs close to 200 lbs. These hinges have no problem with the weight and could probably, easily do triple the weight (or more).

These hinges were more robust then I thought, they will last a long time from what I can tell and will hold up to the weight..

Takes some care to install. They have to be welded in the exact right position since there is very little tolerance on the hinge. But a year later, they still work as they should.
