I don't like knock together shelving units but this one is by far better than the ones with the big key holes that you get from the big box stores.It is heavy duty. The package weighed 60 lbs. I'm a 74 year old woman and I could barely get it into the car.It goes together easier than the big key hole ones because when you tap the side supports into place, they stay there. You can even lay the framework on it's side to work on it. If you tried that with the big key hole ones they would completely fall apart. (A rubber mallet works better than the little mallet they supply)There is a transition piece that locks the top part to the bottom part so you are not forced to put a shelf at the transition. This is revolutionary! If you have tried to put the top part together with the bottom part on the big key hole ones you know that you can only do it with 6 or 7 clamps.The wheels are big and beefy and the locks work well.It is attractive. I am using it in my shop but you can easily use it in a rec room to hold stereo equipment, for example. It is a sleek black with wood toned shelves. All the fastenings are hidden. It does not look like something that only belongs in a work shop.Depending on how you install the side pieces, you can have a lip around the shelf so things can't fall off, or you can put the shelves on top of the supports, without a lip.Some things to look out for during assembly:The long uprights go on the bottom, the short ones on the top.Make sure all the keyholes have the fat side at the top. They put the top to bottom transition piece in the wrong end on three pieces.Measure the things you are going to put on the rack, before you assemble it.I don't know how the shelves would hold up on a very heavy load. They are a composite. For an extra heavy load, you can cut 1/2" in. plywood shelves and put them under the shelves they supply. The "lip" installation will hide the plywood.The instructions are not that great. If you have never put a rack together, it might be difficult to figure out the instructions.

These are well designed. Shelf supports can be installed so any number of sides has a lip to prevent items from being pushed off. A plastic headed mallet was included which is a nice touch. It isn’t strictly necessary, the pieces can be pushed together by hand, but it is nice for getting the brackets in the last 1/16”. It feels sturdy but the supports can still be removed easily with a sharp tap if you need to move a shelf up or down.I will use it as storage and a bonus work surface that I can roll in the closet when not in use. A spare shelf fits perfectly to make a side panel.

This is a true, sturdy and attractive shelving unit! I am very impressed with the volume of things I was able to put on it. It’s made to handle just about anything. It was so easy to assemble and went together in less than a half hour. Great value for the sturdy metal frame and you can put the shelves either on top of the rail or down inside the rail. Also the shelves are two sided, so you have the option of white or white wash wood look. My husband came to check it out when I was done and he tried to shake it, but barely moved. He was impressed! I’ve got some weighty things on the shelves, but the shelves are very sturdy as well. The size was perfect for my pantry. I highly recommend this shelving unit!

These stands are strong , sturdy and nice. The assembly was also easy.

I’m not sure how long it took me to put this together but I easily did it by myself. I was also watching tv so I wasn’t really in a hurry, but it didn’t take THAT long. It’s a tap together style rather than using screws or fasteners so the only thing you need is the included mini mallet (which will be going into the tool drawer for future projects). It came with little rubber inserts for the top and bottom open edges. They just slide into the holes. In my opinion, they could have a bit of a tighter fit because as I was messing with the top shelf they kept lifting out and I had to keep pushing them back in. The instructions show that it can be put together several ways depending on how you will utilize the shelves. I chose to do the typical way as shown in the listing with the shelves on top. I glanced at the instructions but could have figured it out without. Once you do the first joint, you just rinse and repeat. There’s really nothing to it. The unit is actually 2 smaller units that can be used side by side, stacked on top or completely stand alone. I stacked mine to be one tall unit. Once put together we carried it into the laundry room and placed it in its new home. I noticed it wasn’t sitting near the wall on both sides. It almost looks twisted. I thought moving it might have loosened the joints so I lifted the shelves and gave them all a good tap just to make sure everything was in place. This might have helped a bit but it still looks a bit twisty. You can kinda see in the photos that the right side is very near the wall while the left side sits out quite a bit. The bottom was up against the base board on both sides. It should stick out from the wall some since there is a base board but you’d think it would be even on both sides. Anyway, I loaded it up and it seems to be sturdy. Maybe getting some weight on it helped it because I don’t notice it being off balance or wobbling or anything like that. It fits perfectly in the space I bought it for. Oh I almost forgot! Pretty much the one thing I don’t like about it is the veneer on the sides of the shelves. I prefer to use the white shelves so you don’t really see them against the white frame, but the front is the only piece that is white. The sides are brown to match the other side of the shelf. I feel like if I were using the brown side it wouldn’t really matter if the sides were white because they’d blend but using the white side, the sides being brown stand out rather than blending in. It’s just an irritation more than anything but wanted to mention it in case this will bother anyone else. Check out the pics for what I’m talking about. Also the shelves are pretty thin and just veneered, I’m assuming mdf. They will work for my application.Update March 14, 2022Just perusing through my reviews and decided to update to say I’ve loved having this shelf in my laundry room! The “twistiness” of it has not been noticeable or affected functionality for me at all. I honestly don’t even notice it now that I’m not picking it apart for a review. It’s a very sturdy shelving unit and I’m glad I purchased it. I would not be opposed to purchasing another one in the future if needed. (And I might to help organize my son’s closet!)

I am using the unit as an indoor memorial plant stand. My husband said that its easy to put together. The open adjustable shelves helped ! Its well made and very attractive! The wheels make it easy to move for for cleaning :) Its sturdy! Thank you :)

白いものを買ったので当たり前ですが、綺麗に真っ白で何を乗せていてもある程度馴染む。それに、ドイツ式標本箱を置いているので、天板の裏側のウッドな感じも良く馴染んで良きです。安定性は申し分ありませんが、強く揺らすと多少ぐらつく感じはしますが、生活の中で不安を感じることはありません。不満は特にありませんが、組み立てる時にハンマーでガンガン叩くと、めちゃくちゃ響いてうるさいので、夜の作業や壁の薄い賃貸などでの組み立ては気をつけた方が良いと思いました。

Assembled this unit in my seeing room to hold small tubs of fabric. It is very good quality. The brackets slide into position easily with just a slight tap of the enclosed hammer. The shelves are thick and sturdy. . There is wood grain on one side and one long edge and the corresponding sides are white. . 16 brackets are also included for when two 3 foot high units are constructed. Very much worth the money .

見た目が安っぽくなく良いが、棚板の前面のみ塗装で脇が無塗装なので残念。
