Very useful and accurate

This inexpensive (£8.99) aircon top-up hose is slightly better than my old one in most respects. The rubber hoses are a little longer, the pressure gauge clearer and more informative, and the connectors at either end are all-metal, rather than partly plastic. I have shown the two hoses together for comparison. The old one was also not expensive, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, I changed car before I had a chance to try it. The 'new' car uses R12 gas, which requires different fittings, although it can be converted. But I have no doubt that this hose would work well.

This charging hose is the perfect tool for a diy ac recharge. It's very easy to use. You plug one end into the charge port on the loop and the other into the refrigerant and monitor as you're filling it up. It's also durable and well built. The fittings are tight and don't leak so I can definitely recommend this for a diy fix.
