FM4428 Contact Chip PVC Smart Card, ISO7816, Blank White, Gloss Finish (Pack of 10)

Does not work. Its an empty card with no use.

I also got ripped off. They are memory cards. Not smart cards. Just buy yourself a bundle of cheap usb flash drives. Especially considering you only get 1024 bytes per card!

These are not ISO 7816 like description says. Does not work with windows login or CAC.

We purchased the cards because they were advertised at ISO 7816 compliant. When the cards arrived they could not be read by four different CAC/PIV readers. opensc-tool and opensc-explorer would report, "Failed to connect to card: Unresponsive card (correctly inserted?)".Tracing part numbers back to manufacturers, the manufacturer of the states the card is SLE4428 is a "memory card" not a "smart card". The website also states the card is "ISO 7816 compatible" (implying a form factor), and not "ISO 7816 compliant". ISO 7816 has 15 parts, and if the card did comply with the standard then we would not have these issues.If you want a memory card with ICC and form factor similar to a credit card, then these cards may work for you. If you are looking for Smart Cards with security coprocessors to operate in a CAC and PIV environment, then skip FM4428 the SLE4428 cards. If you need a smart card with security coprocessor, the try a PIVKey model C910 or C980. Both C910 and C980 tested as expected.We gave the card a 2-stars rating because it could not be operated according to ISO 7816. The seller, ID Cards Direct, was quite good and got the cards to us quickly. We gave the seller 5-stars for prompt service. We would be happy to do business with ID Cards Direct again.
