Fell off my car
I placed this on a steel surface under my car and it fell off within 2 weeks. If you’re buying this for a vehicle don’t waste your money here.

This Really Stays Put!!
No amount of bumps or pot holes will dislodge this key holder. 3 of my keys fit nicely in this holder. Best one I have ever had and I've had a lot of them over the years. I reccomend this magnetic key holder to everyone who has a vehicle!

Decent little magnetic hide-a-key box
If you've ever been locked out, you probably already know the benefit to having a hidden key. I learned this lesson (or re-learned, technically speaking) a year or so ago when I got locked out of my house due to a "smart" malfunction. Afterward, I decided to never allow that to happen again, and subsequently ordered a couple of boxes like this one for keeping a spare house key. I had one hidden under the car and another hidden elsewhere.Well, time passed and those original hide-a-key boxes are still intact, but are not holding up with the changing of seasons. One of the boxes will not stay closed because the plastic clips won't stay in place anymore. And that's where this key box comes in. I ordered this one to replace one of the two originals I bought a year ago. So far, no complaints. I won't know if it is more durable for a year, but for right now it's working fine.The magnets on this product are even stronger than the ones I used before, so I have no doubts at all that my hidden key will be exactly where I left it when/if the time comes for me to retrieve it from the box. Based on previous experience, I will be pleased if this key box lasts for a year. That would put it in line with the one I'm replacing, and if it lasts longer than that, I'll call it a savings. Of course, what would be even better than that is if, say, in a year's time I need to retrieve the key from the box... and when I do, the box can still be closed again securely! If that happens, that'll be a double-win in my book.In all, this is a decent product. It won't last a lifetime and it will undoubtedly suffer from weather conditions if exposed. If you keep it outside, just know that over time it is probable that the clasps that secure it will deteriorate, at which point a replacement box is in order.I'm happy to recommend to anybody who understands that it will eventually need to be replaced - sooner if weather conditions compromise the material of the locking tabs.
