I like the look and feel of the dishes. The only thing I did not realize the size of the dinner plate is bigger than my other 16 piece dinner set I got from Amazon however, I think for the money I paid they are nice for everyday use.

Bad quality!!!Horrible!

I waited a while to post my review so I could thoroughly try out some of the things other reviewers have complained about. I didn't experience any of the negative outcomes others have.1. The plates are heavy enough to feel high-quality without making me grunt from the effort of lifting them into and out of the higher shelf in my cabinet. My Pampered Chef dishes are incredibly heavy and it is definitely a small annoyance.2. I purchased the slate-blue dishes hoping they were true to the color in the picture and not the description. We have a slate colored vehicle and these are nowhere near the same color. Slate is gray with a blue tinge. These are more of a dark mint color with bronze streaks throughout. They look exactly like the picture provided.3. I have accidentally bumped these against each other, the dishwasher, cabinet shelf, and the countertops. Not one chip or dent in any of the dishes.4. I have heated up leftovers on the plates, soup in the bowls, and coffee in the cups. The finish has not run or changed in appearance at all as some others have said theirs did. The plates also do not get too hot to touch...not even close. I had some Oneida dinnerware that I replaced with this set and it absolutely did get very hot when microwaved. These get warm but not uncomfortably so (I have heated up some very starchy leftovers for about 3 minutes at a time). **EDIT (11/19/16): if you heat something on/in these dishes for more than a few minutes, they're going to get hot enough to melt a plastic bread bag. Ask me how I know ;). Shorter heating times still haven't made them too hot to pick up.**5. I think the plates are the perfect size. The recessed center means that food with gravy or some kind of sauce won't slop over the edge all over you (I had this happen many times taking other plates out of the microwave or from kitchen to dining room and have been burned, man...). To compare them to a bowl is a bit dramatic in my opinion. They are very clearly plates....with a slightly deeper center than conventional plates, which I actually really appreciate. There is plenty of room for a meat, veggie, and starch on the dinner plates without really needing to encroach on the outer rim. The bowls are DEEP, which I absolutely love. Perfect for cereal, soup, stew, and ice cream (not all at the same time). They do have to be stored 2 to a shelf in my cabinets, but that doesn't bother me.I'm saving up to buy a set in the cream color to complement the set I have now, I love these so much. I'm so glad I decided to take a chance on these because I normally allow myself to be completely deterred if the same complaint is voiced more than 1-2 times about a product. haha

These are the greatest dishes ever! They are extremely durable and built to last. When I first received the dishes, the box was a little crumpled, but the dishes inside were fine. (The second set I received were impeccably packed) The dishes have a glossy finish that creates a very smooth surface. The swirl pattern on each varies slightly, but it adds to the allure of the dishes. One reviewer wrote that these dishes get exceptionally hot in the microwave. I don't know what type of microwave they have, but my dishes never get too hot to touch. They get slightly warm, but not to the point of needing to put anything between the dish and my hand.The plates have a slightly depressed center, perfect for things like spaghetti and sauces. The plates are heavy, which was a quality I found highly desirable in dishes. I have used these dishes every day for over a year now and....absolutely no chips, cracks, or broken ones!The cups are amazing! They hold about 1 ½ cups of coffee or tea. The cup itself may heat up a little in the microwave, but the handle stays nice and cool to the touch. The bowls are great for soup, cereal and salads.I really can't give these dishes enough praise. The durability, look, feel, and performance of these dishes for the price is untouchable by any other product!

I needed to replace my previous dinnerware due to unsightly marks which I originally thought were made from my flatware. The old dishes were of a creamy color and showed imperfections instantly. Although using BarKeeper's friend along with SOS pads and lots of elbow grease to remove the marks, I decided to chuck that dinnerware and opt for something new.The Tag dinnerware is not as heavy as my previous set, which is ok with me. The color of the slate blue is true to what slate blue should look like. Although some reviewers have noted that the dinnerware gets too hot in the microwave, I have only found that to be true if I heated up leftovers on a large plate for 3-4 minutes, but, even my old dinnerware would be too hot to touch at that amount of time in the microwave. Rarely has the handle on the coffee cup been too hot to touch after re-heating coffee for one minute.No scratching or marks from my flatware yet and we've been using these daily for 2-3 weeks now. I would recommend to a friend.The only problem I experienced was the packaging, this product is NOT packaged well. I had ordered two sets and one of the sets had two bowls shattered before I even opened the box. Amazon is always good with replacing broken or damaged items though and within a few days, I received another 2nd set which were not damaged.***UPDATE***MAY 2013:I'm throwing this dinnerware set away. When heated in the microwave, they become unbearable HOT! I hadn't noticed this when I wrote my earlier review, but, if you are trying to re-heat leftovers and need to keep the food in the microwave for 2+ minutes, these plates could burn you! I'm afraid of what chemicals (lead?) may be in/on these and might leach into our food. I'm opting for plain old GLASS dinnerware. I can re-heat leftovers on a glass dinner plate for up to 3 minutes and the plates are not as hot as these. Buyer, beware!

Dishes are not holding up. Several dishes were chipped when I got them. I was issued a refund for one box. Dishes chip easy and are not going to last.
