Great way to show fractions in multiple ways
This set is a great introduction to fractions and their relationship to a whole or when compared to another. I often see kids assume that with fractions the larger the denominator, then that fraction is the larger one. This allows them to see that is not always the case and determine when they would be equal or greater/less than the other. The pieces are easy to work with for individuals of many ages. I like that they have them in pie pieces and in a linear layout. Many students struggle with visualizing the concept of fractions in something other than a circular example. I like the storage for all the pieces and the dry-erase aspect of the boards, this makes for easy practice in comparing fractions in different forms.

Exactly what we needed
Lots of different ways to work on and work with fractions. Seeing them with your eyes and being able to manipulate with your hands really helps solidify what we are talking about and comparing fractions!

Great way to introduce fractional mathematics to a child
I ordered this Magnetic Fraction Tiles Educational Puzzle set to use with my 6 year old granddaughter. I wanted to introduce her to fractional mathematics. We use a whiteboard when working with the magnetic tiles. Comprehension of some of the more advanced fractional equations required my help and explanation, but overall this set has been a useful tool in the process. I recently started a game, where each morning I put one [incomplete] fractional equation on the refrigerator door, and my granddaughter then independently completes the equation. She loves it, and so do I! Two thumbs up.

The fraction pieces are magnetic, but the cards are not
I don’t really understand the point of the fraction pieces being magnetic because the cards where you work to see how different pieces fit together is not magnetic. If you already have a white board or something that is magnetic, then you can use the magnets.I think we can make this work, but I would have liked more of a focus on converting fractions. It’s going to throw my kid for a loop to say that 1/2 + 1/8 = 5/8 without forcing them to say that 1/2 = 4/8, so 4/8 + 1/8 = 5/8It’s not that you can’t do that with these cards, it’s that they don’t prompt you to do it, so you’ll need to be present to help them build that habit.

This set was really nice to t such my son about fractions. It’s very nice quality and a complete set. It was easy to use and he enjoyed playing with it. The colors are bright and vibrant and it made learning fun. We use this often and it still looks brand new. I’m very happy with this it’s a great learning tool.

A big hit with my elementary school child
Right out of the box, my budding mathematics genius wanted to put all of the magnets on the refrigerator and start interchanging parts of wholes. For elementary level homeschool, we plan to use these on a white board while learning about fractions. Even without the cards and games, these are a hit. I appreciate that the included cards will allow us to deviate from our curriculum if we choose. Excellent product.

Great for visual and tactile learners!
This is a great way to work on fractions! It’s a great way to visually compare greater than, lesser than, and equivalent fractions. You can put them up on the fridge, use them at the table, or put them on any magnetic surface. This is a great low pressure way to introduce fractions, or to keep it fresh over summer vacation. Highly recommend.
